This place was pretty good I loved the fact that they had all of their sauces on the side with little cups so you could try it all. I do have to say if you don't like tight spaces don't eat in the restaurant. They barely have any room in the seating you will be bumping elbows with the people behind you constantly.

Very expensive BBQ and terrible Customer Service. They only give you 5 wings on the wing platter so I had to order extra and they forgot most of the wings. Made me come all the way back from South Weber. 15 scrawny wings and 5 small ribs for 40 dollars. Not worth it. The person I spoke with about my issue didn’t really care. No much money for what you get. The CS should be stellar but they don’t care. Very disappointed. Have always liked Holy Smoke but the value has slipped a lot

This BBQ joint is amazing! The first thing you notice is their humor. You walk in and there's 3 trash cans. The left one says use this one if your birthday is in a odd day, the right one says to use it if your birthday is on an even day, and if you don't remember when your birthday is, turn around and use the 3rd trash receptacle behind you! Then once you're in the bathroom there's a funny 5 star rating for the toilet experience which was great. A very humorous way to welcome your guests. Now let's get to the real meat and potatoes. I ate here twice. They do not make their food the way I was hoping. First time, I got the Brisket platter, It was completely shredded as if made for a sandwhich. I prefer slices of Brisket! But, this was still so amazing and so well cooked I gave them a pass. So much so that I went back again and furthermore I'll be back 2-3 more times before my month long Trip is over. The 2nd time I had the 2 meat platter with Brisket and chicken. Omg! The chicken was absolutely amazing and the Brisket great again! They have an awesome choice of sides and a cornbread muffin to die for. They also offer an enormous amount of sauces including like 6 different BBQ sauces ranging from hot, medium, to mild. 2 in each category. Sweet vs Tangy kinda thing. Your tastebuds and full stomach will thank you for stopping here if you're in Layton, UT! Also, it is literally in the same parking lot as the Home 2 Suites hotel so if you stay there you can WALK to this joint... The employees were great, the food was amazing, the atmosphere was palpable.. Thank you for a delicious experience, 10/10, I highly recommend trying. I only had 2 different types of food so far from them, but there's so much more to choose from! Do not miss out on this opportunity.

I know that "Smoke" is in the name, but holy cow, there's too much smoke! If super strong smoke flavor is to your taste, go for it. They have a lot of sauces, but I didn't like any of them, which is unusual for me because I love most sauces of all types. Two of them tasted the same, but had different names. The website says the corn muffins are baked fresh daily, but mine was so dry you'd never know it. The spare ribs were overcooked, they weren't serving the two sides I had selected from the website, and the two I got, coke slaw and potato salad, were overpoweringly strong, as if they were old and the green onion had gotten too pungent. I was hoping for much better, but ultimately I barely ate any of my expensive lunch.

4.7 Stars, Great tasting BBQ, been here many times, always good food. Place is always busy and seating is hard too find at times, now most recent it got smaller inside. Did take out earlier in the week got the lunch specials, both were great, sliced brisket and tri tip sandwiches.... I’m a big bbq fan and after living in Texas for several years I’m always on the hunt for good places outside of Texas. I must say this place was fantastic! Everything was cooked and presented how it should! The ribs and brisket had a beautiful smoke ring! The staff was very friendly and the menu options were great! The sample platter was worth the money for two to share for sure!

My favorite BBQ place near me! Come and support your locals. Unfortunately the cost of food going up, short on staffing, and renovations or closing of nearby companies/restaurants, have caused a direct negative impact on the owner. I’m hoping they will be okay. When I went today, they still had a good amount of customers. And of course the food was fantastic!

Wow! Everything is so flavorful. A family of four easily shared the sampler platter plus some extra sides, and we had leftovers. I’d stay away from the applesauce if you like the classic- it’s got a lemon twist here. But it just goes along with everything else here- amazing flavors and spices combined oh so well! Hopefully next time they’ll have banana pudding in stock.
