This place is now the Blue Fin. I loved the decor and atmosphere. Our waitress was extremely friendly and polite. The food was fairly good. I had the teriyaki chicken, the chicken didn't have enough sauce imo, and it was on the dry side and slightly cold. The vegetable soup was good, different which was nice. I was with others that had the sushi, according to them the sushi is fantastic. If you're a sushi lover, this place is for you. The other items on the menu were okay. I'd most likely only go back if someone I was with wanted sushi.

Great service and delicious food, the banana tempura is a must!! We absolutely love this place and the staff is so friendly and helpful. I hear in September they are doing a grand opening. All of our sushi was half off so extremely reasonable. The taste though is still top notch.

Not bad for quick sushi dinner. Had some unique rolls, but most were the standard sushi rolls. Seemed a little on the expensive side, but food was good.

Good food, terrible online ordering experiences. It's commonplace now for orders to take twice as long as the online order says it will take. Tonight, my online order apparently never got processed. I showed up 20 min after my order was supposed to be ready, knowing it wasn't going to be ready at the scheduled time, and find out it hadn't even been started yet. Now I get to wait another 10-15 min. So if you order online, call them immediately to make sure the order was received. And don't bother showing up when it's supposed to be ready because you'll just be waiting longer. Now to the sushi, which is pretty good. It's nothing amazing, although for Utah it's at the upper end of tasty. All the rolls tend to taste very similar. All sushi is 50% off which makes this place very affordable. I have no idea why Cajun seafood is so popular in this area, and no idea why a sushi place would add Cajun seafood to their menu. Never had it here and probably won't, but it's on the menu. Anyway, long story, good sushi (relatively speaking for the area, although places like Tona, Takashi and Chopfuku would be top of the list), 50% off pricing all the time, but terrible online ordering experience.

We walked into Ichiban and placed an order to go and had our food within 15 mins at 7PM on a Saturday night. We got 3 rolls, the crab Rangoon and a beef Lo mein. I have never eaten lo mein before but expected it to have a little more flavor. The beef was moist snd it's sauce was good just wish the noodles had more of that same flavor. The crab rangoon was delicious but also super spicy. I didn't realize it was in a jalapeño pepper and then battered and my mouth was on fire by the second one. I had to take it out of the pepper to finish. The flavor inside the pepper was delicious and the meat was a big serving for a rangoon! We got the fatty salmon roll, lemonland roll and spicy girl roll. The fatty salmon roll was by far our favorite! It was juicier and had a lot of salmon flavors than the other rolls. The spicy girl roll was in fact extra spicy. We must have missed the little pepper icons on the menu that you can see online or maybe we would have 2nd guessed our decision. We ended up picking the jalapeño out of the sushi because it still has some seeds in it making the whole roll pretty spicy. We still liked the taste snd wished it had more of the honey sauce on top but loved the lemon slice on top! The lemonland roll was tasty and the lemon on top was refreshing. It wasn't anything special compared to the fatty girl roll. We will def be going back to try some of the other rolls. We enjoyed our food and thought the quality of ingredients was on par with the pricing. Apparently if you order online, you get all the sushi 1/2 off! Our meal was about $40 takeout so I think they honored the 1/2 off pricing even though we walked in to order to go! We would recommend checking out if you are in the area.

Had dinner with my family in July. The menu is large and covers many different Asian options plus cajun food too. An odd mix, but they pull it off. Sushi rolls were large and fresh. Service was attentive and quick as well. Overall a great meal.

My husband & I decided on a whim to try this place out since we had noticed that it was fairly new to the Layton restaurant landscape. We were the second table there at about 3 pm (it definitely picked up and got busy when we were leaving) & the service staff were quick and friendly. Our server recommended some of the items we ended up ordering (I can't remember the names but the fried one that's pictured was a specific one she recommended & it was divine!).We thoroughly enjoyed everything we ordered (fresh tasting/carefully prepared) & were impressed with the stunningly beautiful decor! The host was sweet & gracious as we left - she made sure to thank us for coming in. All in all, I'd definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great sushi spot in Layton!

Not sure why each location says open Sunday. Called no answer and drove by and it's a ghost town.

The best sushi I've had in my life. The wait staff is incredibly friendly and courteous and personable. We had cream cheese wontons and "monkey brains" for appetizers which were both astounding. Came out from the kitchen super quickly and tasted amazing.Had numerous sushi rolls and fried sushi rolls which were all half off (!!!) and were the best I've ever had. Balanced and so fresh and savory. I cannot say anything bad about our experience here and am going to travel thousands of miles to come back.

Without a doubt the best sushi I have had in my life. We are in town visiting a friend, from New York. We did not expect Utah to have such fresh seafood. The staff is unbelievable friendly! The decor is tasteful, elegant, yet fun!Our cream cheese wontons and monkey brains (stuffed mushrooms) were absolutely delicious! The sushi was savory and balanced. I recommend the ichiban roll and the spicy girl roll. Seeing crayfish in a sushi roll was unexpected, but the ichiban roll did not disappoint. The spicy girl is a beautiful balance of lemon and spice that can only be described as "an experience not to be missed". I will undoubtedly be traveling the 2200 miles just to come back here.

Sushi is good, but they would've gotten a higher rating if my entire order wasn't incorrect. They made the exact same order I had placed last week online with all the same special requests and they did it no problem! I guess they were too lazy to read my order this time ‍

We just had a wonderful lunch here today with our nephew today. The crab Rangoon, "monkey brain", and many delicious sushi rolls were all fantastic, fresh and creative. The service was quick and attentive without being overwhelming and the price was very reasonable. We will be back and thanks Ichiban!

Wow, their food is amazingly fresh and delicious! The decor is beautiful and elegant, and the service was great. There are so many choices of tapa sized starters, sushi, and rolls, that there is no way to sample everything in one visit. We will definitely be back again, and again!! Congratulations on reopening, and thank-you for making us feel safe and healthy during our dining experience!
