I absolutely love the bowls and the rice noodles feel so lightweight but substantial in the body. Good food without weighing you down afterwards. You feel healthy and nourished and it tastes so good!!! The curry and lemongrass sauces are both so good and their drinks are nice too.

Very disappointed in the service I received tonight. I've been dealing with a cold for the last several weeks and after getting off of work late tonight my kids talked me into picking up Zao on the way home because we had it a few weeks ago and they loved it. I knew that Mondays were free kidsmeals, so that's why I gave in. I purchased two adult meals and two kids meals. The adult meals are less than $10 but when the cashier told me my total, it was nearly $30. I knew that wasn't accurate since the last time we were there, we ordered the same meal and it was closer to $20. I asked the cashier to check if that was accurate and without even looking at the screen, she said "yes". Explained to her I'd ordered the same exact meal just a couple weeks earlier and that it was much less. A coworker came over and tried to do some buttons and thought it was fixed and then I heard the girl say "OK your total is...." and repeated the same exact total she had previously told me. I let her know nothing was fixed and that's the same price she said before. She kept arguing with me that that's what it was. Keep in mind there was nothing on the screen to let me even see what I was being charged. Finally, another employee came again and was able to get it fixed and it brought it down to the difference I had been telling her it should've been. The whole time she acted annoyed and rude. Basic math skills are all that was needed to be able to understand what I was communicating and an apology, or even explanation as to why she didn't understand how to do it accurately is basic customer service. Instead, I was treated like I was the problem when all I was trying to do was make sure I wasn't getting charged what you advertised. Needless to say I won't be coming back.

Food was build as you go style bowls . Super yummy! Estabon was very friendly and helpful giving us recommendations and samples of delicious sauce options. Love this place ! Huge bowls with healthy delicious food!

Zaos is a family favorite and it never misses! The Layton location staff is always super friendly. Food is amazing, I got the steak bowl with yakisoba and teriyaki sauce. Finished it off with a Mango Thai Lemonade I think it’s called, all so good!! Def recommend!
This is a great choice for "build your own" cuisine. Zao is a modern Asian cafe that offers a nice selection of ingredients. A great choice if you are interested in a healthier meal!
