We love cafe rio!! My husband and I come a couple times a week because it’s our favorite!!Kid-friendliness: We bring our 8-month old and get a side of beans for him. He eats some of my food and his beans. The workers always talk to him and make him laugh! They also have tons of high chairs, so we never have to worry about where our baby will sit.
I used to really like Taco Tuesday: Taco for $2.49, add rice, beans, and a drink for $3. Today without warning, a drink is no longer included. So I get rice and beans for $3 without a drink? Or buy a drink for an additional $3, which is expensive. And just a week ago I did Taco Tuesday and it came with a drink.The sign in the restaurant still says that rice beans and drink for Taco Tuesday is $3. But they didn't honor that. Maybe they should take the sign down. I just got a water cup. So they didn't get any extra money and they made me unhappy - over something that is admittedly a small thing. But that small thing is enough to make me satisfied verses unhappy.I've been a loyal customer for years. It seems like they are trying to make more money in a sneaky way. I wish they'd be more open about their pricing. They are chasing me away. I can go other places for better value.

We haven’t been to cafe rio in several years, we are costa Vida people but I had a gift card. I was pretty disappointed with the cleanliness of the food prep area and the bathrooms.There was only a couple of people in line when we got there but it took quite awhile to get our foodWe had the pork salad and pork quesadilla, both were good. We also tried the elopes (street corn) and it was a nice surprise.I think I’ll stick with costa for now.

Food was fine, made messy. Got here within my online order pickup time and order was not ready. Stood at the pickup counter for quite a while and was ignored.

Every time I pick up food for DoorDash, I am there for a good 10-15 minutes.I went in today to pick up an order, which I waited 15 minutes for as usual, and there was a couple that came in to get a pound of steak they forgot to give them. They were very frustrated because it took them forever to get their first order. They asked if they could get some kind of compensation, and the guy just said they were pretty busy and doing the best they can, so pretty much told them no. They were not busy, there were only two cooks, and three or four other employees just wandering around, with no one in line. He refused to give them like an extra 1/4 lb of steak or a free dessert or anything. He got mad that they were frustrated. He even told them to go somewhere else. He literally told them to go to costa vida.That was actually good advice, costa vida is better anyways.

I’ve always liked this cafe rio. Went at 8:30 and they were out of all their shredded chicken. They close at 10:00. We were then served stale hard tortillas with rice and beans thrown on the quesadillas instead of on the side. They also didn’t have any mints out. Just very frustrating. Black beans and rice were good though.

This place has gone downhill. The manager is incompetent and they have cut back heavily on their meat portions. If you ask for more meat they immediately respond it will be extra and barely give you any meat. I am advising anyone to stay away from this Cafe Rio. The place is dirty. The back of the chairs are actually filthy like it’s never been washed there was food all over the floor. Just stay away!
I order two burritos to go. Once we tried them at home the rice was crunchy and I didn’t care for it at all. I don’t think I’ll be ordering from here again.

I ordered my food to go, and am still waiting to get it 30 minutes after it should have been done. Crazy thing is there are atleast 10 other people waiting for their to go orders too! I love Cafe Rio, but after this I won't be coming again.

If you love, Mexican, food and salads, this is the place! I got the chicken (pollo asado) tostada with ranch dressing, and my mom got the signature sweet pork salad with a vinaigrette dressing. 10/10!The staff was super friendly, and they sang a song when the couple behind us ordered nachos.You must try the mint limeade! ? they also had other soda , lemonades, and Horchata.I love the bright colors and friendly staff.
