There is something seriously amiss with Hires plumbing. We are 3 for 3 now for locations. Love the food and the people are great but anywhere near the restroom smells like raw sewage at all three locations. I’m not sure why but surely it’s fixable.

The buns were dry and floury. The beef was dry and flavorless. Most of the breading fell off the onion rings. The fries were undercooked. Weirdly, it was table service, would've preferred to order at the counter so I didn't feel obligated to tip someone who only took my order and delivered food.Overall, it was bland and dry fast food that's more expensive than the big chains. The only explanation I can think of to explain its popularity is nostalgia. I won't return and I can't recommend it.

I don't like how you arrive inside of the restaurant. If they are going to have a host/hostess greet you there should be one at the door. Self seating, put up sign. I walked in to order food to go. There was nobody there. All the staff were either at their tables helping their customers (cudos) or in the back having a discussion. After a couple minutes I just sat a table to look at a menu, there are no menus at the register that I could see. There were a number of staff that just walked by me. Finally a couple came in and was able to place an order. I just got up from the table and waited behind them. Everything went as planned after my initial frustration.
