I had an amazing meal at Tsunami Restaurant & Sushi Bar in Union Heights and just have to give it 5 stars. The food was awesome and really stood out in both taste and how it was served. Our waitress, Deanne, was fantastic - she was friendly, knew a lot about the menu, and made our visit really special. The place has a great vibe too, making you feel right at home. I’d tell anyone to go check it out. Big thanks to Deanne and everyone there for such a great experience!

Our server Blythe was incredible!We planned on coming here as I have a Gluten Intolerance and heard about their GF menu. It was delightful. There were multiple options for both plates and sushi, they had tamari, teriyaki, and even brownies!!! I got a GF rainbow roll, teriyaki skewers, and 1 brownie with 2 to go because it was so yummy! Loved this place for GF options specifically!Dietary restrictions: They were very accepting of my Gluten allergy, and I had a 2 page MENU to choose from. Most places only have a small section. 10/10

Teriyaki Salmon - Delicious, tempura vegetables were very tasty and well cooked. The salmon was overcooked and a little tough.Dragon Roll - Amazing. It was gone in 10 seconds. Yummy if you like eel.Samurai Roll - Surprisingly mediocre for a yellow-tail roll. It was fine. It does have the whimsical roe that's common in Tsunami rolls as well.Drinks went without a refill, and while they were just water, it's still a pretty low bar for service.

Got the lunch bento box with teriyaki steak. They put it on top of the tempura vegetables instead of the rice which made the vegetables soggy. Meat, veggies and rice were cold. Steak looked like it had sat out for an hour too. The ginger dressing for the salad (salad was somehow warm while the hot stuff was cold?) didn’t have ginger in it at all. It was literally just sesame paste diluted with some oil. Food was awful, server was nice!
Found plastic in my roll, and when I called back, nobody was surprised or said sorry about it. Super unsanitary. The manager is incredibly rude too.

The food was average, not good enough to go back. The service was disappointing, it was so loud that our waiter could not hear what we were saying. This resulted in food being delivered diners we're all allergic to. When the waiter dropped our food, he didn't come back for over 15 minutes to check on the meal.
