If I pay 30.00 they should put my large fry I paid seprate for not in a meal they should put in a separate container. There sandwiches are good but they need to put more Lettuce & tomatoes on it. There fries are not worth the money.

I guess Great Steak is jealous their food and customer service is no where near as good as the Kobe Teriyaki next to them. Not to mention they're overpriced. As we were waiting for our food from Kobe Teriyaki, and Great Steak was CLOSED an employee ran out from the back to yell at my husband for standing on "their side" of the counter. I can see from other reviews they have a history of treating people poorly.

Food was OK. The cashier did not ring up my combo, just a simple mistake. But the guy that gave me my food and the woman standing there were arguing about what I ordered and then told me they "would take it out of the cashier's check". They both were extremely rude. I went to pay for the fries because I felt bad for the cashier. I would not want to work with such rude people.

Came here for lunch. At 12:30 The worker said they were closed so we went to panda. They then opened 20 min later.
I love their steak sandwiches! The bun is the best! I don't know how authentic it is to an actual Philly Cheesesteak sandwich. But this would be my choice! I never walk past without stopping!

Prices have been raised so far this place is no longer worth it. 25$ for a sandwich drink and fries? I can get a steak with sides for that price. When it can out no fries. I told her. She walked back to the fryer and put a batch down. Turned to me and asked if I want fry Sauce. Turned grabbed it and handed it to me. Pulled the fries and handed them to me. Yup raw almost all the way thru. Meat was also over seasoned on the sandwich. Sad part this was my favorite Philly chain since I first went in 1989. But just can’t bring myself to do it again. At least the MT. Dew was good.

Way overpriced for bland steak. The portion is tiny and tastes nothing like an original philly cheesesteak. I only tried it because it was my first time. Nothing "Great" about it. Never again!

I was starving and at Fashion Place Mall so I stopped at Great Steak. The was plexiglass between myself & the cashier. I couldn't understand her & it's become obvious she didn't understand me. I ordered a Teriyaki chicken sandwich & fries. The fries were mediocre at best, barely warm. The sandwich I ordered was not what I got. I noticed as the cook was bagging it that it didn't look like any Teriyaki was on it. Cook turned to cashier after I told her I'd ordered the Teriyaki at that point I was just done & asked for Teriyaki sauce to be added. When I got home the sandwich was so doggy it was inedible and the extra lettuce & grilled onions was nowhere to be found. My order was almost $15 so this isn't a cheap establishment. Honestly I didn't realize till I got my order it wasn't the old Steak Sandwich shop. I definitely won't be going back. Really disappointed.

Used to eat here quite often, but noticed since COVID the quality of the food has gone down. We continue to a go few more times to find not the best of service,until tonight. Since it's a little bit of a drive we were getting take out. My husband ordered my sandwich with no onions. He was watching at the counter as the cook added a handful onions to my sandwich. My husband had to practically scream to be heard by the cook to let him know no onions. The cook then grabs new ingredients and then continues to add onions yet again! The woman running the counter finally came over and boxed the food without even fixing the issue. After I got home I spent at least 20 minutes combing out layers of onion. There was more onion then even meat for the sandwich. I guess if I ever want Great Steak again I will travel to City Creek. The Fashion Place mall location is just garbage anymore.
