I love black bear diner but have never liked this Ogden black bear until recently. I’m not sure what changed but the food, service, and environment has just been all the best! My favorite meal to get is the build your own omelette the price is so cheap for the amount of food you’re getting! And of course you cannot forget dessert. I personally don’t like cake but the Chocolate cake that black bear diner serves is just delicious!!

I'll start with the good. Our waitress Katy was great. So sweet and so happy.That's the only good.Now the worst. It took an HOUR to get our drink order. The hostess walked past us 13 times to talk to the cook. She stared at me, but didn't offer help. They never told the waitress we were there. We all ordered side salad. Only one was made. Once it was brought out, it had a whopping 1 cherry tomato and 2 slices of cucumbers and lettuce. We got our food. Out of 3 people, 1 was right. Our steak was not cooked right. The Santa Maria tri-tip was so tough it could not be cut with theirs knife. It took my husband's pocket knife to cut it. We were there a total of 2 hours for only 3 people. Numerous people, even large groups came in after us and left before us. We were charged the wrong amount and the hostess had the audacity to blame the waitress for being new. Disrespectful and inappropriate to talk down about someone who did great. I couldn't believe how awful our experience was. For $65, our experience should have actually been good.

The food was barley warm, fish not not very good at all, fries seemed old and stale, the server messed up the order, and granddaughter had to wait for correct food, by the time it was there we had finished. Went in to try birthday was not told it was only a select menu would have ordered different. Slow service not busy. I hate to say this because the waitress who served us was so nice, but this is what we were served and I think that for the sake of others you should know. Black bear diner served us very very moldy food ? they took care of it quickly but I can't believe this was allowed to be served at all.
