This is probably my favorite burger place I went with my dad a month or two ago and got the oaks burger with cheese curds and lime ricky and I loved it it may be pricey but it is so worth it plus the view is amazing

I have the hardest time finding decent food in this state outside of SLC. Maybe I'm a snob, maybe I have standards. Who knows? The one thing this place had going for it is location. It's positively breathtaking here. Views for days, but the same cannot be said about their food. Also only non-alcoholic beverage choices so I had an Italian soda that was only okay. I had a salad of some kind that was kind of depressing and not memorable (obviously). My wife seemed to enjoy her soup, but sandwich was dry. Overall, not the best and there are so many lunch/dinner options in the city, I'd rather just make the drive.

Beautiful setting. I love to sit outdoors by the river. The food is phenomenal and the service is the best!

I don't understand the 3.5 star rating! This little gem has incredible boutique food! If you're a foodie you will love this place.

I used to come here as a little kid with my grandparents and I was sad to hear the Oaks had closed 2 years ago. I’m glad it’s reopened! The views are just as beautiful as I remember and the food is even better. I’ll definitely be returning!

The smell in this place is reminiscent of the New York subway. It's a thick smell that makes your stomach churn while you're trying to eat. The smell's origin is in the kitchen. Every time the door opens, a new plume of these gaseous fumes is released. The oil the fries are made in is rancid and you can taste it... also the lack of salt leaves nothing else to be tasted. The pickles aren't dill, but like a bad bread and butter pickle. The garden salad is nice, but the ranch has the consistency of blue cheese. The BBQ Mac and cheese was disappointing to say the least. The pork had a burnt taste instead of a smoky barbecue taste. The Mac N cheese was noodles covered in a watery somehow cheesy but tasteless sauce. This experience was not worth the $50 it cost. It was a lesson learned and now we never need wonder if we should go there or not ever again.

I've eaten here 4+ times and each time it's excellent. The service is always great. The last time I went here, they had a 50 minute wait but they made an exception for us and seated us inside so the wait was shorter. Their service is so good and you'll love the food.

Me and my wife had the ⅓ pound burger, I added bacon, it was good. And the outside restaurant was really fun for my son and entertaining.

We went there for a work lunch and a few of us ordered a Philly sandwich. This picture is of the sandwich when I opened it up, as it arrived. There was one piece of meat and a couple pieces of pepper. The rest of the bread was empty and dry. Two people with me had nice full sandwiches so I know it's possible. How did this even leave the kitchen! After politely showing this to our waitress, she left and never returned. They made no effort to apologize or make up for the problem... no manager came out.... nothing. I don't know how the food was since I never got any. Unfortunately I do know what their service is like.

My girlfriends and I happened upon it last summer and it was seriousTHE BEST FOOD we had our entire time in UTAH! The fried chicken sandwich and the Reuben may be the BEST in the COUNTRY!!! In Sept that year my husband and I did a road trip to Oregon and went thru UTAH where I insisted we detour to THE OAKS. We ordered the Ruben and and I shared with the server it was hard to choose the meals… at the end of our delicious meal he presented us with a fried chicken meal with sweet potato fries..I doubt my tip was worthy of his generosity but I tried.I will be gifting my niece who now lives in Utah with an OAKS meal…the ambiance..the service..the food is worth any drive and any wait.I believe it was listed one of the oldest restaurants in UtahNot that they need the business..they are super Busy and well known…but it a must if you are in Salt Lake…!!!

We were apart of a larger group and we had a great time! The owner even came and talked to us at our table. We were really impressed! Thank you The Oaks for a great meal and for the amazing views!

The ambiance is ok. The outside dining is nice. A view of the river would be better. The service was good. The green beans were slightly over cooked. The cheese curds were yummy. The garden salad was really good. The Fresno peppers were excellent. The peach cobbler was dreamy. The steak was the star of the show...cooked to perfection. Would of been a 5 star review if not for the rancid oil barrels.

We were lucky to come across this place on vacation. Our experience checked all the boxes with great food, service, and atmosphere. The outdoor dining experience is hard to beat. The menu variety was impressive and they did not serve 1 bad meal in our entire party. We were also impressed by the staff who all seemed friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived.

There was only one chief when we went so we had a wait to get back to our table BUT it was 100% worth it. Our food came out pretty quick once we were seated. We sat at a secluded table with great views & YUMMY food. Come here if you want good vibes!

The Oaks is simply amazing. The Wisconsin Cheese curds are to die for! The outdoor scenery is also very warming and beautiful.
