There was a Zupas employee caring for the dining room today at lunch, and she was doing such a great job, I have never seen that dining room look better! I wish I had caught her name. I really appreciated her attention to detail and work ethic as it made our dining experience, so much better.

Coming here with my girlfriend once or twice a week. Welcoming staff and so far the food quality was great. Some of the staff started recognizing us every time. Very sociable employees. Especially highlighting Alejandro, great guy.

I want to leave this review to warn everyone about the poor management of this place. On Wednesday March 6, we went to eat at the Orem store because they had a fundraiser night, and we arrived with a large group after 8 pm, there at the main station we were served by a worked named Sam, whose service we were not impressed with. To start we ordered the curry bowl, and Sam served the arugula and other food products with only a gloved hand and did not use any utensils to make the bowl which was very gross and unprofessional. In the middle of making our order, Sam received a call on his personal phone and he left and began talking and laughing loudly in front of us while the other staff came to finish taking care of us. The other staff were very friendly but Sam was not professional and I did not feel valued as a customer and I did not feel that the food was the typical Zupas quality due to the lack of hygiene from this specific employee. We normally love the food and the customer service from the employees, but I think we could have enjoyed it more if we ate our food hot, and if the line was smoother. To improve these things you guys have to promote respect for customers starting with leaders. We wrote Sam's name to remember to do this review so that you can help him and that he learns to prioritize clients, since at the end of the day that is his job.

On Wednesday March 6 my wife and I spent most of the afternoon and part of the night taking and accompanying friends and neighbors to eat at Zupas Orem store because of a Fundraiser we had for Lakeridge School. When we arrived to bring in the first group, the team members were practically working alone. Their manager, a guy named Sam, (and I can tell that I recognize very well who is the manager there by his uniform, and because I have been a frequent customer of Zupas for many years), this guy seemed totally uninterested in the situation, since he didn't even know they had a Fundraiser Night. It was thanks to the cashier who found out from us what the name of the school was, and we overheard when this guy Sam was asking another person if she knew the name of the school, and she said, “I was hoping that you would tell us the name of the school for which we are doing the Fundraiser”, this happened a few minutes before 6 pm. Apparently the guy had returned from his break, which by the way, we noticed that he was sitting completely relaxed as if nothing was happening with a woman and a baby, practically for almost an hour, while the employees were juggling trying to serve so many people at the same time.The truth is that I wanted to leave this message in the hope that someone from corporation sees it and tries to talk to this person, who clearly is not qualified to be a leader, much less to deal with the environment of a restaurant because a leader would never leave his team alone in the middle of a rush, and he did, and also he looked very carefree. It was very disappointing and sad for us to see that situation, and the only reason I am leaving these five stars is because of the employees, not because of his poor management. I hope that if we ever do a fundraiser in this store again, this guy's leadership has changed for the better.
