If you're looking for an, on-mountain fine dining experience with great food and spectacular views, Lookout Cabin located on the Canyons side of Park City Mountain is the place to go. Recently, I went there with a friend for lunch and walked away wondering why I hadn't gone there before.. It's an intimate restaurant, and exudes charm as soon as you walk in. It's the only on-mountain full service restaurant on Park City Mountain with a full service bar. The bar seats about 12, so get there early if you want to sit at the bar. The inside dining room seats about 125, and the outside patio (weather permitting) seats about 100. The fare being offered by Chef Chris Durfee and his staff is excellent by any culinary standard and exceeds traditional mountain dining by leaps and bounds. Our meal started with a generous portion of fresh oysters on the half shell. We then had the Cloppini which consisted of mussels, calamari, shrimp, fennel in a saffron herb broth served with sourdough bread for dipping. Our next appetizer was the Braised Bison Short Rib Poutine which consists of pickled shishitos, Heber Valley hatch cheese curds, grilled scallions along with a demi glace and red wine. For our main course we had the Horseradish-Honey Glazed Salmon Salad and the Bolognese. The salmon salad, was absolutely delicious and the huckleberry vinaigrette dressing added the perfect touch. The bolognese included home made ricotta which was delicious. The portions were more than ample for each of us even though we shared them. For dessert we split the Cinnamon Roll Cheesecake. Being a native New Yorker, I am a tough critic on cheesecake, but this was among the best I've ever tasted.Lookout Cabin is open Thursday to Monday from 11:30 to 2:30 and reservations are required. I can honestly say that the food and service at Lookout Cabin is consistent with the best restaurants in Park City.

Unique venue with a limited but very well prepared menu. Attentive service with one of the most memorable locations. We have always eaten at Lookout Cabin when we ski at Park City. We will be back again next year.

By far the best Ski On Ski Off On Mountain restaurant at Park City Mountain Resort. Food is the best - don't miss the Wagyu burger, grilled salmon salad, and/or the short rib poutine! Service is great - love the team! This is the best dining experience on the mountain, great food, cocktails and full service, and then the views!!! Can't find anything else like it on the mountain. If your skiing PC/the Canyons, this is a Must Do Enjoy!!!

It's what to expect from a mountain side gimmick restaurant because of the view. They need to get rid of the pandemic law of ordering food to purchase alcohol - how do you run out of your most popular items on St Pattys day weekend with glorious spring skiing conditions ?

Ski in ski out. Nice view on mountains. Call them to make reservation is the best option.

Waited 30 min to be seated for 1pm reservation. Understaffed and inattentive host. Also unsanitary— exec chef at expo feeding himself fries and then plating people's food/ touching various surfaces with bare hands, etc. Disgusting.

Twenty minute wait to be seated. Then one drink arrived fifteen minutes before the other drinks at the table. Food was the worst we had on the mountain (mid mountain lodge was the best). Cocktail was good but that was the only positive.

We had a 2:15 reservation for a birthday lunch. It was noted in reservation that we had a special event. We arrived at 2:18 to be told they were no longer serving and that the kitchen was closed. After complaining that we had a reservation, they told us we could sit for a drink only. We sat there only to watch everyone around us being served food. It was outrageous. When we asked for another drink we were told we sat you so you could have just one drink. The worst experience and treatment I have ever had in a restaurant. No apologies, no nothing! They need new management!!!

The food's not only excellent but innovative, the staff is both on the ball and friendly, and the location and atmosphere are terrific. By far the best on-mountain dining in PC. Very enjoyable experience all around.

We had a 2.15 lunch booking. The service was friendly and the food was excellent. We were told after ordering our starters that we had 5 minutes until the bar closed. Our entrees were then delivered to our table before we had finished our starters. The bus boy even wanted to take my unfinished starter! The bill was placed on our table at the same time.We felt that we were being rushed and that if we were given a 2.15 lunch booking, that we should expect to have at least an hour to enjoy our meal. I did mention my concerns to our service waiter. He did speak to his manager and we were given a 10% discount.

First the positive: good views from an open deck; more options of upscale food, although it is just above the usual US ski lodge food quality.Check your credit card charges carefully. They posted extra on my bill. I tried to have the extra refunded but am unable to get in touch with anybody.Service was very slow and indifferent. Average diner would have been better. The price for that meal was 3 times our other lunches on the mountain. Totally not worth it.

The location is awesome; the vistas are expansive and you can see much of the Canyons from here. The bolognese was not particularly impressive, but the burger and fondue were excellent.

While skiing, I had a sudden crave for steak (I limit red meat intake, but I do respect my cravings when they arise). I looked up Lookout Cabin's online menu while on a chairlift, and the Sous Vide Wagyu Steak invited me to a lunch stop. I called the restaurant, made a reservation, and skied across the resort determined to resolve my craving. The cocktail I ordered, I think it was called Whisky Chai Hot Toddy was incredibly good! I hope they keep it in their menu for years to come. When I was asked for my lunch order, I confidently ordered the Sous Vide Wagyu steak, but I was informed that they only have a Wagyu burger, and they "never had a Wagyu steak on the menu" ( well, see attached screenshot from their online menu as of 2/13/2024 for yourself) nothing else on their limited menu quite appealed to me, and since I was already there I ended up ordering the Chicken Confit. The chicken, beans and kale were prepared to perfection, but sadly the chicken was excessively salty , even for someone who loves salt as much as I do. Yelp doesn't allow me to give them 3.5 stars, so 3 stars it is. I would think that the point of having an online menu is to set proper expectations with patrons about what they can look forward to find in you restaurant. If the online menu cannot be kept up-to-date, then they might as well not even keep it on their website

Make a reservation if you can, but plenty of folks walked in the day we went too. Food was delicious! Favorite spot on the mountain to dine. They even offered me Gluten-free bread for my fondue.Dietary restrictions: GF options, although not on the menu.
