Feels like putting a nail into an already closed coffin but we went to the hut and had dirty bird today. Our customer service was fine but my soda was flat, my chicken sandwich inedible and it was thoroughly unsatisfying. The sandwich was burnt and had a bad oily taste. My husband got a dirty bird and he couldn’t make it half way through. The fries were hot and fine. It’s the closest restaurant to our house but sadly I will not be back..

I’d never been here before, but I saw that they were mentioned in a Deseret News article about best fried chicken in Utah. My wife and I are here and it was INCREDIBLE. The fried chicken was crispy and the chicken wasn’t dry, the flavors were on point. I got my sandwich hot, and it was just the right amount of heat. The sauces are great. The seasoned fries were also great. I would recommend Dirty Bird to anyone who’s looking for good fried chicken.

They told my brother and I that if we liked spicy then we should get the "hot" option. We did, but it was almost too much for him and to handle. Though, the food tasted great, despite the heat. The fries are seasoned and delicious. The chicken is well prepared with a great breading and fried beautifully. Dirty Bird is a great option for someone looking for a step above Chick-fil-A.

We eat at pretty bird pretty often but wanted to try a local place so we came here. We got the dirty bird and dirty fries. I thought pretty bird was the best in our area but this sandwich was so good it trumps it. The fries with ranch were great too. It took like 5 mins to get our food and didn’t have waiting like we usually do at pretty bird. Over all excellent experience.

First up: Dirty Bird is located in a cafeteria-style building with one giant seating area. Parking in front is scarce, so you might need to find it on the side of the road. A heads-up for anyone unfamiliar with the area. Now, on to the review: I love a good hot chicken sandwich. It needs flavor, large pieces of juicy meat, and of course, heat. Dirty Bird can get that all in one sandwich. Their fries are also good, and as of recently they've expanded their menu to include everything from shakes to macaroni and cheese. My favorite thing I didn't expect to love though, is their pimento cheese. It's so good with the fries! Totally worth getting. So while I haven't been able to try the whole menu (yet, give me time...) I can say that if you're ever wanting something spicy that's really gonna hit the spot when it's cold out, Dirty Bird is the place to go. But my two complaints and warning would be this: the seating area is small, and I wish it was larger. I also wish they had more savory sauce options, because everything has sweetness to it. I dislike sugar with my spicy, but in Utah, sugar is the way of life so it is what it is. My warning is that you need to be prepared to not fit into your jeans the rest of the day. You'll be stuffed. I highly recommend a good ol' kombucha or kefir water to ease any stomach issues that might arise (a family member who shall not be named can attest to this lol). Other than that, enjoy!

The chicken was good flavor. The size was pretty small. The fries were good. I'm not sure I'll rush back.

I had barely sat down for a minute or two before my order was in front of me. I was a little worried since I got the hot and dirty that it would be too spicy, but it was the perfect amount. Just enough spice, but you can still enjoy the meal. The pimento cheese was a fantastic addition. Great place!

I lived in Nashville for years and this is my favorite hot chicken I've had. I would've eaten it every day of my trip if my belly could handle the extra hot that my heart and mouth desires.

Pros: chicken was very juicy and good. Had i just gotten chicken tenders i may have liked it. Staff was nice.Cons: The sandwich toppings were disgusting and not paired well. It was somehow reminiscent of sea food ?. Overpriced—$10 for the sandwich alone and $3 for fries. The establishment was gross. Tables were obviously not cleaned, literally every trash can in the place was overflowing, tables and chairs crammed everywhere and very messy feeling. Wouldn’t recommend.

Very very good chicken option if you're looking for something close to campus. I like that their menu is not super wide so they are always very consistent. We ordered the student combo which is a really good deal! Their fry sauce is very very good. The chicken was soft and not dry at all. I wish the sauce on the chicken had a little bit more flavor but that's just personal preference (or maybe some sauce options you could get on the side). They use really good bread which is always a huge plus. The vibe of the hut is nice. It's a really good place to just hang out, and there's desert options next to Dirty Bird!
