I used to love going here as a student pre pandemic. It was a beautiful buffet with high quality food. I brought my husband back today and they acted like it was an inconvenience to seat us at 12 o clock with hardly anyone in the dining area. After being seated and waiting 10 minutes, no one came by to even ask about drinks or greet us. Six servers stood in the corner folding silverware and napkins. The buffet is gone and the options are extremely limited. The plates on the tables of those who had actually been served looked sad. We ended up walking out and not even the host looked up to ask why. I am so disappointed.

Didn’t get the chance to review the food because the service was so bad. The host seemed incredibly annoyed to be talking to us but she sat us. There was a total of maybe 10 people inside. We sat down for 14 minutes without anybody coming by even though there were 7 servers laughing and folding silverware. We got up and left and the hostess didn’t bother to say anything then either. Definitely don’t waste your time. Go get Wendy’s for some better hospitality and service.

This place is a staple for BYU. It’s got some great views from the window, and the workers were very friendly. The food itself was good, and the burger was full of flavor. The dressing on the wedge salad was underneath as an interesting choice, but it still packed flavor as well. It’s a great date night location!

My sister booked the sky room for her daughters wedding reception. It turned out to be a brilliant idea. We met with Jana to go over options of food and decor. It was very easy and really fun. The chef even came out to tell us what was possible. The communication was excellent throughout the process. We walked in last night and it looked amazing!! The views were stunning. There were quite a few staff there that facilitated a perfect evening. It felt like they cared about our event as much as we did. The cost was very reasonable Jana was amazing as well as everyone we came in contact with. The food was fantastic too! I highly recommend the sky room for any event you might have.

We recently had our son's wedding luncheon at The Skyroom and we can't say enough about how great everything was! Chef John did a fabulous job for our event! We chose the buffet, and the food was fabulous! Our guest were so complimentary about everything, from the vegetables, to the meat, to the desserts - it was delicious! Susie, Jana, and their staff were awesome to work with and they made sure that everything was just how we wanted it! The tables were set beautifully, and the whole room looked gorgeous! They even tinted the "Y Sparkle" drink to match our colors! The view is beautiful and it was so nice to have the entire place to ourselves for three hours! The TV was really large which made our video presentation great, and the sound system worked really well so that everyone could hear what was said without any trouble! All in all it was a great event and we are so grateful to everyone at The Skyroom for making our day perfect!!! Thank you Skyroom!!!

We hadn't been for many years (really miss the buffet) so we made a reservation for our anniversary - sadly a bit disappointing - steak was order medium well and was served medium rare - finally found the hostess to return it and it came out very well done with no sauce and cold french fries - waitress was working a large party and never checked on us or refilled drinks--no one ever asked how the food or service was since you pay before you are seated - mint brownie dessert was good and view was nice

To sum it up. If you want badly cooked food and enjoy terrible service then this is the place for you.We have come here for years pre pandemic and it USED to be GREAT.NOT ANY MORE.Pros. The view is great. The restaurant is clean.Cons. Horrible servicehours not as advertised on website.None of the specialty drinks they advertise on the website.Food subpar and badly cooked. Our experience. We went there as a group of 6 and knew about the buffet being discontinued but figured we would give it a try. From the moment we sat down it started bad. The server gave us attitude when we asked questions about the menu.We ordered drinks and it took 15 minutes to bring out 4 sodas which she placed on a tray next to the table and proceeded to ask for our order. We had to ask her to give us the drinks. There was only one other table of people in the restaurant so she was not busy. We placed our order and the server knew very little about the entrees offered. We ordered some of each entree offered and hoped for the best. The food took 30 minutes to come to the table. The seabass was overcooked and the vegetables seved with it looked old and were tough, The shortribs was overcooked and missing some of the sauce the menu said it came with and the roasted chicken was dry and had very little sauce with it. We would have complained but there was no wait staff in sight and that was the case during the entire meal. They were not even in the room, who knows where they were or what they were doing. We ate what we could of the poorly prepared meal and waited. Eventually desert showed up and they didnt clear any of our entree plates they just habded out desert and we stacked out own used plates on the window ledge. Desert was fine but nothing to brag about. We would have loved a soda refill but thats tough to get when the wait staff is hiding out some place else. The lunch experience took 1hr 40 minutes. Who gets 1hr 40 min for lunch? We will not be returning any time soon.

Wonderful view of BYU in an excellent environment. Perfect for business and formal lunches or just a nicer date on campus. Everything was great, however the steak was overcooked. Great portion of ice cream and brownie.

Delicious food, presented as a four course meal. The service was great and the food tasted good as well. This is the place for eating with business executives and special guests. There is a beautiful view of the surrounding area and a nice ambience here.

It was much better when it was a buffet. Now it's just a really expensive restaurant ($20 a person). I hope they decide to go back to how it was before COVID.

The place was empty and we still had to wait 30 minutes for someone to even recognize us at the table and to serve us.

Elegant decorations and food that is impressive in look, flavor, and texture. Their renovations are truly an upgrade to the menu and decor. Priced fairly. Am experience that should be added to every BYU experience.

The food is quite good, but it can get a bit boring if you go more than a few times a year because they repeat the same small menu every week. Each day in the week is different, but it repeats through about a year before they mix it up a tiny bit. Service is almost always good, but they sometimes run out of the “good” desserts by 12:30 or so.
