They have buffets on the weekends.Fried beef momo is a must. Try the Tibetan tea with salt, that brings out the flavor!

This is the perfect "hole in the wall" gem of salt lake city. The food is awesome, and the tea is fantastic. We tried the Chai and the Lemon tea, the Chai was perfect ?This place is locally owned and has authentic decor and cuisine. They have a ton of vegetarian options as well.Check this place out!Parking: There is a about 3 designated parking spaces East of Straw Market (Shambalas neighbor). Those are usually full, but the street parking is free and it's easy to find a spot.

I love this place so much! My aunt took me here the first time and I’ve had so many good memories here since. The space is tastefully colorful and has such a warm and cozy atmosphere. The food is wonderful and well worth its reasonable price. Would recommend to any fellow local or visitor!

Get the steamed momo with *extra* ginger sauce! You won’t be disappointed, their sauce is amazing. You can’t really go wrong with anything here, my personal favorite is the eggplant and the spicy potatoes

Service needs to up their game. Eg. we ordered two soups and they only brought out one, then the other 10 minutes later. Good thing we had plenty of time to kill. Waitress didn't come back to check on us after giving us the menus, or clear dirty dishes and we're the only ones here. Didn't ask us what we wanted to drink after we were seated. I had to flag the servers down many times. Server didn't know what was in the dish we ordered. It came with completely different ingredients. On a good note, the chai tea was spectacular, the water was very good, and the food was cooked well and tasted very good.

Sad to say that the buffet is no longer. It was definitely a big draw for lunch time and they always had a nice variety of vegan and a few meat dishes. Now it seems a bit overpriced and no option for a couple of momos. A serving of 8 momos would be suited for more than one person. A bit too loud as well if you are preferring a more quiet place to eat. No longer the gem it once was...

I had the Signapore Tofu Noodle + some Momos, and it was incredible. The portions were huge, the price was reasonable, and the food was delicious. The green sauce they keep on the tables is delicious, and I highly recommend putting it on your Momos and food. I believe that all of these are vegetarian and also vegan, and it's definitely got the best vegan offerings in SLC imo.

I have literally never been disappointed h Cafe Shambala. My boyfriend and I regularly get take out for our cozy date-nights in. We prefer to get our own Vegetarian combo plates. The containers are always bursting at the seams with food and we typically have more than enough food to have leftovers for a day or two afterward.I’ve also eaten in the dining room pre-covid and it was a wonderful experience with a cozy atmosphere. When we pick up takeout we notice that it’s still just as cozy and atmospheric.Definitely would recommend. There are very few restaurants that I very specifically crave suddenly, and Cafe Shambala is one of them.

This place was AWESOME!! I was staying at the nearby hospital for a few nights and needed to get something other than hospital food. Cafe Shambala was super close and very timely! I put both my orders in online and it was already ready for me for pickup. The food was just delicious!! I’d highly recommend it!
