First time coming, and this place is NOT for us foodies. No one or no signs warn us before entering or being seated, that they only except cash. "Oh but they do have an ATM" wth is the point? Just get credit/debit card s*** set up! Its 2021, um? Anyways, Food was very bland and just disappointing for the amount of time we waited for it. "Fish and chips" was not what you think it would be. That was sad. Their "side salad" was just random pieces of veggies (a few peas, 1 cut grape tomato, and and cut up lettuce) . No love in any of the food we ordered. Side soup had to be canned, not homemade. the taste made it seem that way. Prices are at least fair but gosh I felt uncomfortable the whole time. Customer service was OK. But No one was following COVID guidelines of social distancing. Overly packed with very old people. Respectfully, Do not want to come back... Kudos to the old people and everyone else who loves this place and keeping it open for so many years:)

Savannah, our server, was very friendly and attentive! Hats off to her! The food was awesome! Hats off to the cooks! Our last exprience before this left us wondering if we should come back. I am glad we did come back! I would definitely recommend this place

Food taste so good!! Highly recommended! :) I recommend the “Chicken Florentine with Spaghetti” or “Sauted Shrimp With Spaghetti” or “Steak & Spaghetti “ or the “Philly Steak Sandwich” also if u want something fitness try the “Trout Salad” is on the picture.I’ve tried all those and more and i have to say that they are really good! :)

This restaurant was recommended by a freind and BOY was he right. It looks like it's from the 70's,but that is part of it's charm. We ordered the rib eye steak dinner, best tasting steak I've had in a long time. Plenty of sides with it. The service we had was above and beyond what is expected.

We called ahead at 11 on a Monday and we're told there was no wait. We walked in 2 minutes later to a wait. The host only had half his shirt buttoned up revealing some gross chest hair. After waiting 10 minutes we noticed that they only accept cash. So given all the strangeness of this place, we left, and gave our friend a really hard time who looked it up for us. Would NEVER go back. These reviews on here are wayyyy to generous. (Also there's some super sketchy stairs that and locked going down into a basement. I saw a man with a suit come in and out several times with apparently nothing to do with the food)

There are few places left in this world that can, and will, take you back to a simpler time. The time you sat with your parents at the table and were able to order for yourself or simply a great memory from the past. That is what Coachman’s is, a place of memories, and pretty dang good good too!This place is an INSTITUTION, and anyone that is from salt lake or the neighboring communities can tell you is everyone knows Coachman’s.A place where you can still get soup, salad, meal, dessert and a drink for a reasonable price.But let’s be honest here, is the food going to win a Beard award? Probably not, but the friends you’ll see and meet here along with the ambience is what makes this place a go-to in the city. I have loved this place since I was a child and 4 decades later I still enjoy it every time.This is where I take people who come and visit, this is where we go to enjoy a low key meal with friends and family.Long live Coachman’s!TRY the “Chicken-Chicken” and the bread pudding for dessert!

This is not a fancy restaurant. I've been going there since I was in my twenties. I have never been disappointed by their food or service. The value of their dinner menu is exceptional. Drink, salad or soup, bread, dessert all included with a full main course. I will put this in caps, THEY DON'T TAKE CREDIT OR DEBIT CARDS. That's one of the ways the owner keeps his cost to value ratio down. Another thing. There are always family groups there.

I celebrated my birthday today in this excellent restaurant. happy to tell that we had a brilliant evening and the venue was evidently the reason for that happy event. The crew helped in a pleasant manner, the food was great and my friends were so overjoyed. We shall definitely return for more events. thanks very much.

A good place to have a big breakfast. The Swedish Pancakes were lighter than expected and my side of bacon was generous. I do wish the coffee was stronger however.

I ordered the halibut and it came with green beans and a baked potato. I have to say I should have went with a breakfast item. The halibut was on the fishy side and tasted over cooked. The green beans didn't have as much flavor as I would have like, but the baked potato was delicious. The service was fast and friendly. The venue was extremely retro, but it was awesome. Overall, I think it would be a good place to grab some breakfast food.

I've been going to Coachman's since 1973 when they were located on 3400 South state area. They still have the best spaghetti, the best liver and onions, great breakfast great service! and it's a habit of mind to drop in on Thursdays and get their lemon rice soup which is the bomb! Love this place can't say enough about them! did I mention they haven't raised their prices like everybody else in this state.
