This place is a gem! I recently visited with a friend who had been here before and the food was delicious. She suggested the chips and guacamole, it was next level yummy! We both had the shrimp tacos, again delicious! Food was very fresh and beautifully played. Our server was very attentive. All in all I recommend this spot.

LOLA was a superb experience. The beautifully quaint atmosphere was a spectacular backdrop to the creatively designed entrees. The flavor combinations were an equal balance between delicious and surprising. The raspberry churros were the cherry on top, definitely recommend LOLA.

Food was average. We ordered the carnitas tacos, shrimp tacos and empanada and they were all average tasting. They charge $15 for chips and salsa that were worth no more than $5 or even free. The black beans were an extra $4 and it was more like a side of bean soup. Service was good.

ive eaten a lotta meals at a lotta resturants and the one with the underseasoned steak bites with store bought salt and vinegar potato chips was one of the worst. not offensive, simply not worth eating or spending money again.

Food was greasy, with minimal flavor! Service was extremely slow and inattentive.

We've been here a few times and love the atmosphere and service. But lately the food is just ok. Shrimp Tacos are consistently good, but this visit we also ordered the quesadillas ( a bit oily) and I got the Yam. The Yam was very disappointing. The description said it was a Japanese sweet potato, that's why I got it but it was a regular orange sweet potato and wasn't even cooked all the way through. On the menus for $17. I would not recommend ordering this item. All the cocktails were great.Vegetarian options: There were a few vegetarian options on the Menu. I got the Yam, which I would not recommend.Parking: Plenty of parking along 9th.

I ordered the yam which was $17 dollars and my husband ordered the shrimp tacos which were $20 dollars for 2 tacos. The food was okay but we were so hungry after eating here we went to arempas for 2cd dinner. My yam has a nice flavor but no depth and it was boring and my husband’s tacos has Parmesan cheese . Nice staff and pretty place but I go to restaurants for the food , limited vegan and vegetarian options.Dietary restrictions: Almost no vegan options

Food and drink were excellent. Service was very kind and friendly just very limited number of servers made for a slower service. Not the servers fault they were crushing it, could just use more of them.

Absolutely stellar experience at Lola on 9th in Salt Lake City! Nestled in the charming 9th and 9th neighborhood, Lola exceeded all expectations. The authentic Mexican cuisine was simply outstanding - a true culinary delight that left me craving more. The ambiance and vibes were on point, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The service was impeccable, with our food arriving promptly and tasting absolutely delicious. The chilaquiles were a standout dish that I will dream about for days to come, and the shrimp tacos were a definite favorite as well. The appetizers were fresh, made to order, and bursting with flavor. The guacamole was a true showstopper, setting the bar high for all future guacamole experiences.Let's not forget about the drinks! The authentic Mexican-style cocktails were a hit, perfectly complementing the incredible flavors of the food. Lola on 9th truly knows how to deliver a top-notch dining experience that will leave you wanting more. I can't wait to return to Lola on 9th for another unforgettable meal. Five stars all the way!

The food is great the one time I went and they were open for lunch. I have been twice since. The sign says open and there were employees in there, but when I knocked and asked about eating lunch they said they weren’t open until 5pm. They need to update their hours information, so they reflect when they are actually open.

We were excited to try this cute eatery at 9th and 9th! We started with guac and queso—know that chips and salsa are not included in your meal as is the case in many restaurants! Guac was good and unique- queso was good but not the traditional. Dinners were good and differ from the norm- no rice, no beans...but very tasty and filling. Service was awful. They were busy but didn't seem to have any sort of system. Our waiter was seating people, clearing tables, making drinks- all while forgetting about us. We asked for more chips and 30 minutes later...no chips. We ordered drinks and one came out right away- the other with dinner, 45 minutes after it was ordered. It's a little pricey too...might expect maybe a scoop of unique rice as a side. All in all an odd dinner experience but we are locals so might give it another chance.

Underwhelming, overpriced, small portions for meh taste. We ordered the Shrimp Tacos and Vegetarian Tacos. You only get 2 and we left hungry, which would've been ok if they tasted amazing but they did not. The tortillas were grainy in texture, my shrimp tacos didn't have many ingredients and lacked flavor, and the price for what you get is disappointing. $20/dish plus tax and tip. Won't be returning.
