We celebrated a birthday at Matteo’s. It was one of the best food experiences we have had in awhile. The service was phenomenal from the moment we stepped in the door. We were greeted by friendly hosts, wishing us a happy birthday. Our waiter was attentive and knowledgeable about various dishes. The food was complex, hearty, and filled with flavor. You could almost taste the effort that had gone into each dish. In addition each dish was an art piece within itself. Especially the white chocolate cheesecake dessert. We will most definitely be returning for other special occasions!

Wow. This is truly the best restaurant we’ve been to, ever. The atmosphere, the service, the food, unparalleled. This is one of the best run restaurants I’ve ever seen in or out of Salt Lake City. The chef is a mastermind, the staffing was perfect, the ambience (including a live serenade) is truly unlike anything out there. Run, don’t walk to make a reservation and experience this for yourself.

I’ve been to Matteo’s twice now and have not been disappointed in a single thing either time! The carpaccio is so, so good.. would highly recommend that as a starter. My husband and I have tried a few of the pasta dishes now and can honestly say they have all been great (pesto, puttanata & lasagna) Definitely remember to order bread to start the meal!

Fantastic meal - Skyler was hands down the best waiter we have ever had.For only being open for six months, everything was spot on. Best restaurant in salt lake - highly recommend the cheesecake with the artwork.. and the rest of the dessert menu (and the mains!!).Next time we are over from the UK to SLC, we would come again.

Ambiance, food and service are A+. Best Italian in Utah. The Bolognese sauces are better than what I’ve had in bologna. Matteo is a gem and his staff is superlative. Don’t pass this one up!

Matteo is my new favorite restaurant. We ordered the whipped brie, lasagna al ragu, gnocchi, and fusilli al pesto. All of the food was excellent. I’m still thinking about the whipped brie. So good!! The customer service is unmatched. Reservations are needed and book up well in advance.
Adrian took care of us for our anniversary. Some of the best food and service I have had in SLC. We were so well taken care of and everything from the antipasti to secondi was amazing. Will be going back again!

Best Italian meal I’ve ever had. Jamie, our server, was amazing; friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. The meal was shared between two. We ordered the Carpaccio, Contadina Salad, Veal-Pork-Parmesan tortellini (special), & 20oz Veal Parmigiana (special). The cocktails were also great. We had the Dirty Italian, Honey & Smoke, & Fragola 86.
