First day here in salt lake city and Googled bbq this place popped up and we decided to try it. Not disappointed! Food was AMAZING and the drinks were good too. The wings were out of this world. 100% recommended.

I've been back dozens of times now. It's ALWAYS good. I love the gluten free carrot cake and gf corn bread muffins. Their specials are actually special and their sides (jambalaya!) are more than just an after thought.

Always great food. I have NEVER had a bad meal there. Friendly staff and a nice place to wait for takeout orders. Drive through window for phone or online orders too. And lovely aromas to whet your apetite.

What happened to this place? It used to be my favorite place to go because of the cherry smoked wings. They were incredibly well smoked, juicy, and very meaty. The last 3 times I've ordered them in the past two months, they have been absolutely dry as a bone - you can't even finish a drumstick without having to drink water to keep chewing. And the flavor is completely missing. They taste old and off somehow. I don't know if I've just gotten the leftovers of what's been sitting out all day, but the quality went from some of the best wings I've ever had to some of the worst.Friends had brisket that was so dry it had a crust on it - like it had been under a heat light for ages. And pulled pork was dry as well, with no bbq sauce provided (it was a to go order).I'm not sure what happened to this place but I won't be going back unless I hear something changed for the better. Such a shame.

I guess there is a reason I haven't heard or been here yet. I decided to try this place because I review most restaurants around. This place is bottom of the list with out a doubt. I couldn't even finish the Ribs ( no seasoning) Rib ends were no better and the Brisket was the worst I'd had from every BBQ in utah. Not sure what is going on here but you can get better BBQ at ANY other place. Including Chillies.

This place is really good! It’s delicious BBQ that the whole family can enjoy. If you’re GF this place is awesome, almost everything is GF, they staff was very knowledgeable. We ordered a big meal to share with brisket, ribs, pulled pork, coleslaw, baked beans, the baked potatoes and some cornbread muffins! We also ordered jambalaya on the side and my husband said it was his favorite thing he had there! My favorite was the baked bbq beans! But I liked everything! The atmosphere is really cool, they have lots of seating options. The menu is pretty big, so there’s something for everybody! The Bills Big Combo that we ordered fed us twice!Vegetarian options: Several dishes are meat free but I am not sure if they have a meat substituteDietary restrictions: Staff was well informed about what was in each dish and I am confident that they could helpParking: Free parking lot adjacent to the buildingKid-friendliness: Lots of kid friendly food!

Me, my son and his friend showed up to Sugar House BBQ 45 min before closing. There was a feeling in the air that they wanted to close for the night. Just my opinion. We all got the two meat plate. There were like 5 slices of the brisket but on the thinner side and dry. Pulled pork was tasty and moist. Needed a little extra bbq sauce but it hit the spot. I love Mac and cheese, theirs is just under mediocre. Cole slaw was fine. There was something missed when we initially ordered, so the gal delivering our meals said that we needed to go back up to the counter to order but hurry cause they were getting close to closing. Didn't find that too appropriate. Overall, good effort. I'd go back just to see if things are different maybe a few hours before closing.

We chose to drive down here from Layton because my wife has Celiac Disease and we had heard it has a very friendly gluten-free menu. We were very pleased with our food and the staff members’ knowledge of allergens. But even taking that part out, the food was awesome! Definitely will be coming back!Dietary restrictions: Entire menu is gluten free except for the Mac and cheese, gravy, and a few desserts.

Service was great, warm, welcoming, and fast. The style of the restaurant was very nice. Sadly the burnt ends were very tough and not very flavorful, brisket was slightly better but not by much. Sides were the saving grace of the meal.
