We found this place looking for an alternative to the trendy, overpriced, and overrated sushi places we typically go to in Salt Lake City.So happy we did. This place is a gem, with outstanding quality and attention to details, all at a reasonable price. The service was exceptional too.I did not try the ramen, but I strongly recommend the sushi / sashimi, which is possibly the best I have ever had.This is definitely worth the slightly longer drive, and we will come back.

Our family of 17 think the foods were alright. We had the Plum Sampler, Ika Shoyu, Shishito Pepper, Sunomono Plain salad, Gyoza, Baked Green Mussels , Poke Martini, Yakitori, Tonkotsu, Beef Sukiyaki, Aloha Sushi, Zebra Sushi, Nabeyaki Udon, Teriyaki Salmon, Filet Mignon, Katsu Chicken, Curry Rice, Dragon Roll, Samurai, Caterpillar sushi, Firecracker. As you can see, we had a lot of dishes. Best ones would be the Shishito Pepper, Baked Green Mussels. Service was fantastic. The place was more of family style.

I have been going to Sake Restaurant for almost two years now. Usually about once a month, and I have never had a disappointing meal or received poor service. When ever I go they make me feel like I am their favorite customer, because they are always so kind and attentive. I really did think for a while that I was their favorite, but soon noticed that they treat all of their customers with the same courtesy and quality service that I always receive.Their sushi and ramen meals are some of the best in the valley. Though the restaurant is in a standard strip mall setting, when you enter, the decor and seating makes you feel you are in a fancy restaurant in the big city; however, you receive the friendliness of a small town diner. Sake is a favorite for our extended family as well. For the past two years my wife and I have taken our kids and grand-kids (20 + people) to Sake Restaurant for our annual Christmas Eve celebration and they really treated the whole family with great service. From an old retired guy like me down to our two year old great grand-daughter. One of the hidden gems in the Sandy, Ut area. Go and enjoy a wonderful meal at Sake Restaurant. You will want to go back again and again.

Sushi was average. Server forgot to put our order we believe because our food took 30-40 min. Other customers came after us, ate, paid, and left before we got our food. We thought maybe the manager would come by and apologize but never did.
