The waitress was very good. My meal got messed up but the kitchen noticed and it was fixed really fast. The food was yummy.

I don’t know if my most recent experience was a one off or if the food has gone down hill. The staff was wonderful and helpful though. My husband enjoyed his food. I ordered the avocado toast which was good but the toast was unevenly toasted (burnt on top and soft on the lower half), the eggs had no flavor and the hash browns were undercooked.I ordered the huckleberry drink which was delicious

Sat in the lobby for 25 min getting waited to sit. Finally just took it upon myself to sit down at the bar. Then waited another 20 min just to get someone to take my order. This is by far the worst black bear diner in the salt lake county. Buyers beware??

Three strikes your out. 1:30 in the afternoon and one other couple besides us in the entire place. Our red black spotted chopped potatoes were served cold and tasted like left overs from 3 days ago. The hockey puck, biscuits had to of been a week old and reheated, could not even eat them. This is the third time we have given our favorite location a try since after Covid. Our waiter finally checked on us after the meal. Too late! Won't be back.

Dirty restaurant, eggs were all overcooked, and hash browns that were beyond crunchy. Luckily everything tasted great, but I’d visit another Black Bear!

This was an absolute bad experience. I ordered the tri-tip medium rare with potatoes soup, loaded baked potato, and green beans. The tri-tip was well done and lacked flavor. The baked potato was good. The green beans were boiled and way over done. My wife could not even eat her ribs because they were so dry and over cooked. The soup was very thick and had the consistency of paste with an overwhelming taste of flour. If you eat at Black Bear Diner, I would recommend you stay with breakfast where your food is cooked upon ordering.

This used to be one of my favorite places to eat when I lived in Sandy. Drove there to eat breakfast and was throughly disappointed. The potatoes were big chuncks and half cooked, had to send the eggs back and the biscuits were stale and cold. The restaurant used to be busy and now, even at dinner it is no longer busy. I will no longer travel to eat there and spend $40 for food.
