Ume House used to have decent food. Went there yesterday with my family. the food was simply awful. The rice was old and mushy. The soup had a weird smell. The crispy tofu dish had a vinegar sauce that did not go well with tofu at all. The drypot cauliflower pork was flavorless. Walnut shrimp was, well, just disgusting. I don't even know what to say. Not sure what happened to that place but gosh, it was bad ...

Want to give zero stars. 6 of us went in Sunday 8/21/22 and shared many dishes. Bill was $160. 2 hours later all 6 patrons suffered extreme stomach cramps and diarrhea. Had to catch flights out later that night which were misery do to what we believed to be food poisoning. Please be cautious if you eat there.

Six of us went in Sunday 8/21/22. Had numerous dishes that we shared. Bill was $160. Service was not friendly. All of the party became very I'll within 2 hours of leaving. Severe diarrhea and stomach cramps. Assuming it was food poisoning. All had to catch a flight later that night which was miserable do to the sickness. Please be cautious if you go. Health department has been notified.

DO NOT GO THERE!!! We 6 girls had dinner over there. And the hostess was very mean and she was unfriendly. And we all have loose bowels. One of our friends have a very strong stomachache after dinner

Delicious food. I got takeout and the quality was still great by the time I took it home an hour later. Would definitely recommend and come back.
Had lunch there. Surprised that almost totally empty. Took their recommendation of HuangMengJi, e.g. UME chicken Casserole , then ordered sweet and sour pork ribs, and Gallic green veg. Besides the green veg, the other two were quite disappointing. Taste, color, materials were all sub-par, e.g. rib was not rib at all. I would recommend you not to take their recommendation, but ask questions of what and how they cook. Most likely will not return for 2nd time.

Best food I have had since I was a kid. Don't miss out on this restaurant, if you're looking for authentic asian cuisine this is it. I used to have to go to LA for the quality we got at this restaurant. Service was excellent & extremely kind. You do have to go into the ChinaTown center to find this place, but it's well worth it. A hidden gem in SLC. definitely will be back.

Permanently closed. Plenty of other Asian restaurants in “Chinatown”. It’s a mall around a large Chinese supermarket. Very nice area. Including another noodle restaurant
