Food is amazing!! Great music, owners and staff are so friendly! We went with blended family some of us drank others didn’t but their was something for everyone from pool, dancing, food and Karaoke huge outdoor area we had a blast!

Went to check a very recently opened sports bar called Shaka Island Sports Bar and Grill with Keane last night to see some great friends, Tama, Will, and Omai smash it doing some karaoke and of course try some of the food. Since it is a bar, they do check ID and there was a $7 cover charge when you go in.I ordered the Tsunami Fries and fried musubi. It's a bit pricey, but I was curious since I saw my buddy Tama post pictures about it. The Tsunami fries had shrimp, imitation crab, and topped off with I believe spicy mayo, shoyu sauce and a few others. Reminds me of taking apart a spicy crab sushi roll and putting that over fries. The fries were a little too over sauced for me. Sometimes I had to scrape off the sauce so I can taste the other parts of these loaded fries.The fried musubi with the sauces on top are pretty good. It could use something crisp and fresh to go with it, maybe some chilled kimchi or my friend suggested cucumber kimchi. Deep frying rice is always tricky because that changes the texture of the rice and shrinks it a bit. I wonder if packing the rice down more for the musubi might help before the deep frying process.The food was pretty good, but I don't drink alcohol. So it would be interesting to hear what others might think about what good alcohols might pair up with the food there. Just soda or water for me. The fries were $15 and the musubi $4 each. Since I'm only interested in the food, the $7 door charge will deter me from coming back. I love trying bar food since there's a lot more involved with what they make to pair up with what to drink. It's definitely worth checking out. This place was fine, the only reason I give 3 stars is because the menu highlights were deceiving. They only serve like nachos, wings and burgers so don’t go off of the menu highlights.

First time visit to this location. Had a good time. Played good music. Alot of friendly welcoming people very diverse as well. Food was delicious had the pork nachos an cheese fries an they did not disappoint . Waitresses were on top of it as well.

Disappointing food, very limited bar selection (domestic big 3 beers and generic liquor), unknowledgeable and unhelpful staff. Can confirm what other reviewers claim, the drinks are pretty expensive and pathetic, the food is no different, way overpriced for being such low quality. Oh and they charge a $5 cover for.... karaoke, get TF outta here, I probably would have been more inclined to pay a $5 cover so I wouldn't have to listen to a bunch of drunks butcher otherwise decent music. Sadly in this neck of the woods you won't find many other options for an alcoholic beverage, but I guess if you're desperate enough, godspeed.

I love this Bar, clean, great Bartenders, & You can't go wrong with the food! On top of their security is on point, they will help you when you need it! they also offer a Limo to & from the bar for anyone who needs it or wants a ride! I love their outdoor patio & the fires they have too.

Great atmosphere and fantastic food! Love the nachos, super yummy. My husband enjoyed his steak. It was cooked perfectly. We will definitely be back for karaoke night.
