This was mine and my husband’s first time eating at this restaurant. The server was very friendly and helpful in choosing a food option as well as dessert . The food was just what you expect , yummy . Thank you David for making our first Black Bear Dinner experience memorable. FYI we recommend the Grandmas cobbler a la mode .

The best sausage patties in existence on this planet!!!! THEY ARE HANDMADE right there from scratch! I’ve never tasted anything like it. They are so flavorful and hearty with fennel, paprika and other magical ingredients from the heavens! They have breakfast all day so you can order it whenever you want ?Parking: It’s a busy place so parking was a bit tight but we found a spot. I would park next door and walk to the restaurant because it’s that good

First impressions were some old chain diner closed and this place was converted to a bear themed diner with some family fun merch by the checkoutAfter eating there 4 lunch I can confirm the joint is family friendly, filled with regular folk. Prices are moderate and portions were on the large side so come hungry.Service was friendly, prompt and efficient. Team at the front equally so.Place is noticeably tired, border line greasy spoon in a good way. Worn but clean. Ingredients were noticeably fresh, food much better than average American fare. Hats off to the cookWe were only passing through so I don’t have a comparison to other establishments in town but for sure u won’t go wrong bringing your family to this diner.Better than Dennys 4 sure cuz of the food if 4 no other reason. Patrons were happy to be there (smiles) enjoying a good hot meal. Kids were enjoying themselves, even the merch brought smiles.Note to the manager, keep doin what u r doin, show appreciation to your staff when possible :-). TY

Can I just start with our waiter! He was not a very nice one! He was rude! I will never go to this location again! Another thing! I know they’re known for their homemade meals and dressings, but if people have allergies, they should have a backup! They have their own homemade ranch, but my family is allergic to onions, and apparently they make their ranch with onions! It would be nice if they had regular ranch for those of us who have allergies!

Ordered medium rare steak, it arrived rare. The food itself was mediocre. Service was minimal, the store was cool.Parking: Plenty of spots, didn’t have a hard time finding one.Kid-friendliness: They provided the usual “kids menu/crayons)…basic. The restaurant is a brand name. and the food was disappointing. Should have ordered breakfast and that's what they're known for. The waitress goofed up the order. But the ambiance is the best. Las Vegas Black Bear diner was incredible. Maybe it was bad timing.. it's a good thing to know next time I'm in Saint George. I'll go there in the morning hopefully the food will be better

We shared the chicken fried steak & eggs because it is plenty for two. The steak was tender and the over easy eggs were cooked perfectly! The biscuits & country gravy are good. The cornbread muffins are just a bit dry and the pancakes are almost as good as Denny's. The bread pudding is good.
