“Edit: called and order was replaced.I ordered strawberry pancakes to go. I paid $13 and received 2 naked pancakes, no fruit anywhere. I asked if I could have eggs as a side instead of meat, the person on the phone said no one had ever asked for a meat replacement before. I just had a brain tumor removed and can't eat harder foods, so my diet is a little atypical, but she had an attitude hinting at vegetarian woke shaming. Kind of needless. They must hate money because the eggs I asked for are much cheaper than the sad bacon they insisted I get. Very disappointing experience overall, don't order to go here.“
“Beyond yummy and a great value shop, the food is genuinely amazing. “The best food in Utah” according to me. From amazing cabbage rolls, delicious ćevapi, and a great vibe, this place has all your Balkan food needs. The servers are kind and quick, and, “the food is all made from scratch,” it’s so good. I’d recommend the old bridge platter, any of the amazing drinks, and a slice of cake of baklava to wash it all down.Parking: Many spots, right by the cafe.Kid-friendliness: Super kid friendly and super kinda about them, too.“
“Food and atmosphere was great. The pancakes were the best I’ve ever eaten. The lower rating on the staff is only because our waitress seemed a little irritated with my indecisiveness - I felt I was bothering her but it was my first time here so I would’ve appreciated a little more grace.“
“The staff was very friendly and seated me right away. Being a Tuesday morning it wasn't terribly busy so the food came out quite fast. The chicken fried steak was tender enough a fork just slid right though it. The steak and gravy were delicious. Passing through the area and this was my first time here. I'll be sure to come back again.“
“First off, this place is hard to find. It is hidden on the south side of Ivy Place. So far, it didn't start off well when there was no one at the door and it says "Please wait to be seated." We went to look for someone and they just sit anywhere. The server passed us several times before asking us what we wanted to drink and get us a menu. I ordered the two piece fish and chips for $13.95. The three piece was two dollars more and was a better deal but I just wasn't that hungry. I also ordered the coleslaw which we heard was really good. They brought out the coleslaw first. The portion was a good size. My first impression was that there was too much mayonnaise on it. It is in the tart side but overall, it has a really good flavor. Not too sweet. The fish was very flaky. I the pieces were firm and held up well when you dipped them into the tater sauce. The breading was perfect and not as oily as I thought it would be. The bonus was that we got a small extra piece of cod. The fries have a nice crunchy coating which I love. I had a little more room so I ordered a bowl of clam chowder. One the first spoonful of clam chowder, it tasted burned. I thought it was a bad spoonful but no, it was burned. My wife and daughter tasted it, and it was burned. At the end, the server redeemed himself and attended to our needs and took the clam chowder off the bill.“
“Penny Ann's is always great and never disappointing. You will always leave happy and full. You might need a nap after enjoying too much of their delicious food. Often busy especially on the weekends but if you have a small party you can sit at the counter and enjoy the show of the kitchen staff and servers. I generally get the Chile Verde skillet with the pancakes. A perfect meal of savory and sweet.“
“Food: I’ve only had the wings and fries there. There wings cooked just right, moist inside and slight crunch on the outside. Their spicy ghost Pepper was pretty hot, kinda lingers so I suggest eating it after the other sauces. Classic buffalo wings , exactly the title, your classic buffalo wing. I’d like to go back and try their other sauces.Loved the garlic Parmesan fries, garlic salt and slightly garnished with shaves of Parmesan cheese. So yum.Service: love that the server immediately served us a courtesy bowl of popcorn to snack and chat while waiting. Jacque was our server. My second time having her and she still very upbeat, pleasant personality with a comfortable Aurora about herself. She even went out of her way to ask us if we’d like to change the t.v channel.Atmosphere: a typical sports bar and grill feel. Place was clean. I noticed the tables were immediately cleaned after customers exited out. The place is small and cozy.I plan on visiting again.“
“WOW!!!!! we couldn't believe how good the food was. Delicious!! And the customer service was beyond what you normally get at fast food. Tables and floors clean. Wish there were other locations in Taylorsville and West Valley but we'll be back for sure!. So much better than we expected. “
