Birthday meal. Sushi we had was great to taste. It had been a while. Great customer services. We will be going back.

Great place for quality sushi. Visited near twelve, it was not full. Service is consistently great. It has a nice atmosphere.

Nothing to get excited about but seem to be a large number of these little cafes in West Valley. Food was adequate, service friendly and efficient. Nigiri was good, salad fair, stir fry vegs lacked any imagination but was as advertised.

Wanted some sushi and had read about Sumo Steak & Sushi. Made the 15 minute drive from the hotel and was able to walk in and sit down at the sushi bar with no problem. I was given a rather large menu with all sorts of sushi and asian dishes. The menu stated, at least on the sushi page, that the sushi was a BOGO (buy one get one). If you ordered two rolls you would only pay for the more expensive one. With that in mind I ordered four different rolls, California, spicy tuna, unagi and a shrimp tempura roll. I also ordered a bowl of miso soup. My order arrived, but before I could start to eat the sushi chef realized that he had put a different roll on my plate. He had to remove it and give it to the person who had actually ordered it. Other than that the sushi was good. I only say that because I have had better, but this was good sushi and for the price (BOGO) it did the trick. I was only drinking water so my waitress brought me over a pitcher full of ice water. Probably easier for her to do that than keep checking in every 3 minutes, but I appreciated the gesture. I am sure that there are other sushi places in the Salt Lake City area, but Sumo was good and if I was staying a bit closer than I actually was I would probably go back if I felt the need for some sushi.
