My family and I recently went to Barberitos. It had just reopened after being closed for a while. We were pleasantly surprised! The food was really good. Ingredients were fresh and the staff was very friendly. This was a huge change from when we had eaten their in the past under different management. I highly recommend Barberitos in Abingdon.

The newly reopened Barberito’s was great. The food was fresh and tasted delicious. The staff was so friendly and welcoming. I love that they stay open until 9 and I believe they may even stay open later on certain days to accommodate town affiliated sporting events or events at The Meadows.

I have eaten at barberitos in Johnson City for over 10 years. This location is only barberitos in name. The meat had no flavor and the chicken tasted like it was from a can. It tastes nothing like the location in Johnson City. I thought it was strange that no one was there at dinner time but now I know why.

I cannot recommend a restaurant who cannot pay their employees. Employees are told to wait days before cashing their checks (well past pay day) and when employees go to cash their check at the businesses local bank they’re told they don’t have enough funds in the account to cash the check!! Horrible place of business. Do not support them.

I had been here before. Last time - the food was good. This time - borderline inedible. The steak looked like it had been stewed instead of grilled. The only redeeming things were the sauces and queso - both average. Save you money for somewhere else.
Ridiculously disappointed when my online order wasn't ready due to their technical difficulties and the manager insisted on helping another customer in front of me.Effectively earning this 1 star review.

Went today with husband for 1st time. We were only ones in restaurant at 12:45. Should have told us something. Was overcharged, food was bland and not fresh. Order was not as advertisedSalsa bar had 3 empty containers. Had to ask for salsa. Worse thing was bathroom sink was full of filthy water and had plastic bag in it because it was clogged. Couldn't wash hands which tells me employees cant either. Gross...we won't be back.

Scouring the map on our road trip and finding nothing familiar, we picked this because it seemed similar to Chipotle by description. While the menu called the chicken “marinated and grilled”, I would say the most similar product I could imagine is canned Costco chicken with some spices added and warmed. We were the only customers at peak dinner time, and the employees were as cold and dry mannered as possible; it was awkward. We were hungry, it filled our need but I would never recommend. It appeared that there were pieces of chicken in the red salsa at the salsa bar, which seemed a food safety issue, since the salsa sits at room temperature. The fewer the customers, the longer it sits.

We love Barberitos and have enjoyed their food for years, but unfortunately, ever since the pandemic, this particular location has continued to go downhill. I know they can not find or keep workers, so that plays a big part, but yesterday, the food was awful. My husband got a burrito bowl, and I got a burrito, and we both threw them in the garbage with over half leftover. The steak was fatty and chewy, and the veggies looked as though they had been sitting out for days. Sadly, we will not be back to this location.
