Seems like everything had sugar added to it. The salsa was sweet. The chicken salad was sweet. The pasta salad was sweet. It was disgusting. And the service was next to abysmal. We sat at the bar after fighting our way through the check-out line that is conveniently placed directly in front of the only door; the waitress ignored us except to clean the bar in front of us, and we only heard her speak when she took the order of a woman who sat beside me, never offering food or beverage. Only positive was the price; pretty good price for their lack luster food. Would not recommend, will not be going back.

This is is a favorite lunch spot in Abingdon and I’m not alone in thinking that. There’s almost always a wait for a table and the take out business is huge. Chef Heather has a daily soup special and we’re there every Vegetable Beef and Oriental Chicken day. Unique half and whole sandwiches are available. Several great salads are also available in half or whole sizes but we’re partial to the Strawberry Poppyseed and the Southwest Chicken salads.
Chef Heather's is a really good lunch eatery. Everything is made fresh. The vegetables are always fresh and not overly refrigerated. Heather creates and makes some of the best paninis and quesadillas you could want. The salads are extremely nutritious and tasty. I prefer the spinach salad and the house salad is the best you will find in Abingdon. And it is a modestly priced restaurant with a very good atmosphere. Oh... I almost forgotten soups. Homemade, wonderful flavors and taste. Try Chef Heather's. You will go back again and again.

Great food at one of Abingdon's most affordable lunch spots! They use higher-quality ingredients than any sandwich shop I've visited, and put a lot of care into their preparation (tortilla chips and croutons made in-house, peppers and other veggies roasted in-house). Despite the lunch rush, we received great service and our food came quickly, and we enjoyed the historic photos and memorabilia of the building and were inspired by the adaptive reuse of antiques in the interior decor.

Love! Such Great, tasty, fresh food! Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Heather is a sweetheart! I've never had anything bad and been going over 6 years! You have to try their brisket grilled cheese, Monterey chicken panini, cranberry chicken, etc! So many yummy choices!
