Overall, I would give this place raving reviews! The food, amazing, the wait staff, amazing, the cocktails, amazing! HOWEVER, the night started off with a 30 minute wait past my reservation. I came on a Friday night with a reservation for 8pm. My friend and I weren't seated until 8:30pm. My issue is, we weren't offered any concessions and frankly, the hostess wasn't accommodating. I would come back because of the location and the amazing food and cocktails, but I have low expectations for the hostess.

The food and drinks were good. The service was pretty slow. The place is very small. My main complaint was our main dish was cold. Like it was sitting out for a while.

Alice is a nice place for girls night. The ambiance was lovely, low lighting and cute decor. There is a bar with seating for four. Based on other reviews, we made reservations to be on the safe side. It was a rainy Wednesday when we went so there was plenty of seating available. We were greeted and taken to our table immediately. We started with cocktails. The white rabbit is a tequila based cocktail and was quite refreshing. We also ordered the chicken wings and curry puffs as appetizers. We were not a fan of the wings but the curry puffs were amazing! For the entree, I ordered chicken pad thai was very authentic and topped with peanuts and fresh bean sprouts. I really enjoyed this flavorful dish. This is a very intimate spot and the entire staff was attentive to all of the guests. I plan on returning to try more food options and upscale cocktails. Note: There is no parking available in front of establishment. The nearest metered street parking is on S Columbus Street.

Forgot to get pictures which is killing me!! But went twice. Super small so definitely get reservations. The kitchen is shared by the downstairs sister restaurant Thai Signature which is one of my favorites. The cocktails are so delicious and they can make anything you want. The bar tender made me the most delicious skinny margaritas I've ever had. I can't explain how light and refreshing they were! Decor is very cute, a funky ode to Alice in wonderland. Don't miss this spot!

First time trying a mocktail. I had the Fruit Punch. It was very tasty. The menu looks great but I didn't have time for food. They had larger parties coming in so they limited us to 45 minutes. It looked like a great date night spot.

What a little gem! So impressed that all the cocktails are being turned out by one bartender. They mark which of their food items are gluten free, if that is a concern for you.

I have mixed feelings about this place, and for one reason. I love egg white drinks, not for the taste, but for the texture. My eyes hone on them like a seeker missile. I was super excited to count four egg white drinks on the menu, until I tasted my first and only one, the Pendleton. The cocktail was extremely well blended... but, they used egg white concentrate, which is a drink killer. It doesn't deliver the frothiness of a true egg white drink made with egg white, which is why I wouldn't recommend this place to a true cocktail connoisseur. But, for an amateur, it's passable.

I had so much fun at Alice!! One thing to note is that it is a tiny space and not to expect to be able to walk in without a reservation! We arrived early to our reservation and our table wasn't ready yet, we had to wait outside (again small space), and watched as people got turned away on a busy Saturday night. I highly recommend making a reservation!! It was worth the wait and our table was ready at the reservation time. The service was really quick actually! We sat down and were quickly able to order our drinks. I got the Alice and my hubby got a glass of Malbec. My drink was gorgeous and purple!! It tasted fruity and delicious, I recommend it! I had a sip of my husband's wine and his was quality too. For our food indulgence we got two appetizers the Bang Bang shrimp and the Crab Rangoon. The portions were small but flavorful. The sriracha mayo on the Bang Bang shrimp was mouthwatering and I love the bed of crunchy noodles (that's what I'd call them) it was served on. My husband said the crab Rangoon was so worth it! To share we got the Crying Tiger entree. This was like nothing i have ever had before! The steak was tender and the chili lime sauce added a nice heat. It is of note that they put the sauce on the side so you are able to control your heat intake. It also came with a scrumptious papaya salad and sticky rice! We left feeling full enough, but not like we overindulged. Overall I'd absolutely come here again! The drinks and food were both great!!

Cozy bar right downtown with great small plate and entree options! Cocktails are fancy and expensive, but not what you'd make at home, so a nice treat. There are four fun mocktail options as well for your DD. We enjoyed the chive dumplings as a starter and my crying tiger dish was excellent - sweet and spicy. Service was fast and attentive. We went on a Friday night and it was pretty full and loud; reservation recommended. If you're looking for intimate conversation go early in the evening or during the week. Definitely recommend; we'll be back.

So this is one of the newer cocktail spots in Alexandria. Overall the venue is pretty quaint and intimate it gives you an indoor treehouse feel with all the floral decor complimented by dark colored tables and couches. There was a decent crowd on this particular night but luckily me and my friends were able to find an empty table to squeeze in at. The cocktail menu features a nice variety of options ranging from gin based cocktails to even a scotch based option and everything in between with prices around $16 per beverage. The wine menu provides fewer options but does have white and red options as well as champagne with the options for single glasses or entire bottles. As for the food menu they provide small plate options like bang bang shrimp, shrimp dumplings, wings, and curry puffs with prices ranging from $8-$13. The larger entrees provide options like shrimp pad thai, esan chicken, and fried branzino with prices ranging from $19-$30. I decided on trying out the bang bang shrimp and the shrimp dumplings and a glass of Chardonnay. The service was good each of my appetizers came out in a timely fashion. The bang bang shrimp was fairly decent nothing life altering but a solid appetizer and the shrimp dumplings were much better although I think they would have benefited from not being drowned in sauce. With all that said this seems like a great date night spot or a lowkey spot to connect with a small group of friends so give them a try.

Cocktails were good. Decor is whimsical with Christmas lights. I would say you can hear the convos from other tables pretty clearly--might be a convo starter if you are on a first date or might make it harder. It is on the second fl so there are stairs in case ppl have mobility issues or in wheelchair It is associated with and next door to thai signature so the food is pretty good. I love thai signature. Don't sleep on the pineapple fried rice son! Do not ask if this is affiliated with sisters thai. There is something that is reminiscent of sisters here but don't ask that. Lots of egg white cocktails and pretty boozy. Would recommend

Excellent drinks! We tried at least 6 different cocktails and each one was great; all well mixed & balanced. The wait staff were all very polite and attentive. The decor is cute but it's very small inside and you have to walk a flight of stairs. I wouldn't bring a stroller and it's not great for large parties (unless you rented the whole floor out). The food was the least impressive part; I would definitely just go for the drinks.

Everything was spectacular. I had the Alice cocktail - divine. The bang bang shrimp is a must order as well as the Bronzino. Really cute and cozy spot too in terms of decor. And the service was excellent. I can't wait to go back.

Very tiny restaurant so I would highly recommend making a reservation if possible or having a back up plan of what to do while you wait for a table. The service is very fast and both the food and drinks come out quickly. I would recommend it for the start or end of a date night or for a small group of friends.
