Sat at the bar and loved the ambience. It’s quaint and can be a nice romantic spot for couples. Our bartender was great and he recommended the prix fixe menu and it was definitely worth it. Got the marinated beets salad, lamb and Crème brûlée! Will definitely return. Great service, great food. What else can one ask for?!

We returned to Bastille after many years and it didn't disappoint. Food was first rate especially the Short ribs- meat melted in your mouth. Service was first rate and they were very accommodating as we arrived 45 minutes early. Just wonderful to find an old friend. We'll be back.

Bastille is one of my favorite places to dine. The food and drinks in the French style are consistently good. I had the special, Halibut, which was very tasty. Our server was friendly and attentive. I'm looking forward to the warmer weather when we can sit in the lovely outdoor setting.

Was celebrating with a visit from my California cousin. Everything was outstanding. Music was a touch loud. I like Bastille b/c it's a place one can go to eat great food and the noise level makes it possible to talk. It's getting harder to find a restaurant experience that provides both.

Lovely location, very cute place overall. It was quiet at lunchtime, which was nice. My group of friends could sit and enjoy a lovely time together. We'll give it another try in the future. That said, I would have preferred my beignets de crevette served warm/freshly prepared -- they were served room temp and rather squishy, as if they'd sat around awhile.

Bastille NEVER disappoints! We totally enjoyed the Valentine's prix fix dinner they offered. Wine pairing was on point and the quality of the offerings was superb- even on such a busy night. We always appreciate the attention to detail from arrival with the host, service, appetizer to dessert. You always walk away satisfied with a positive memory of the meal.

We had an early curtain time at the Kennedy Center and a correspondingly early dinner reservation. Our server sped our food out so we could enjoy an almost leisurely dinner, and watched our time and delivered the check promptly. While we couldn't linger over their fabulous desserts, it's both the quality of the food and the gracious and attentive service- even on a quick, light meal- that makes Bastille my favorite Alexandria restaurant.
