This is the second time we have ordered an overpriced birthday cake (Tower Cakes / Bread and Water) and been unhappy. It looks so sloppy. Further, they don't answer their phones or check their voicemails so there is no way to speak with someone about a custom order. With so many good bakeries in Northern Virginia and DC, I would not recommend.

Love this local place. The food is great (bring back the chicken teriyaki sandwich please!) and so is the staff. The lattes are my favorite. What makes them better are the ingredients. The milk (dairy and non-dairy) are all high quality. I found out in my last visit that Addy makes all the syrups in house and they rotate for the season. Everyone needs to try the Irish cream!! But they are all awesome

I absolutely love this local bakery! They have incredible quality food and coffee. My favorites include their chai latte and tuna sandwich. I highly recommend checking them out for breakfast or lunch or anytime in between! Their staff is very kind and knowledgeable. Addy always greets me with a big smile and makes me so happy to be here! Plus they play excellent music while you wait!

delicious aroma as you walk into this bakery! cool vibe, music, but too few tables. need more! Sandwiches, great coffee/tea/chai latte (so good I instantly regretted just getting the small!) and baked goods to die for--cinnamon chip scones, carrot cupcakes with cream cheese, chocolate and blueberry muffins, oh my! Addy served me with a big smile and prompt service. everything I could wish for, and I'll be back for more.

I eat at bread and water more often than I care to admit, but there is a reason for it; the breakfast items are extremely good and contain high quality ingredients. No matter what you order you can rest assured that it will have flavor and will be consistent with, or often better than, your last experience. What really makes bread and water special is their staff, who provides UNMATCHED customer service. Addy will always greet you with a smile and make sure you are taken care of. She will always make you feel like you are the only customer in the store. The staff at bread and water are extremely knowledgeable, well trained, and a joy to interact with PRE COFFEE. ......No one is a joy to interact with before I have coffee but they figured it out and, for that, they have earned my loyalty.

BEST FOOD EVER OMGG!! The waffle fries were amazing!!! So crispy. The angry chicken burger was soo good. The customer service was amazing as well. Abby was so sweet and you can see she loves working with her coworkers and love her job. The store is very clean and very organized.

A cute shop with friendly staff who made sure to greet me on arrival. They have a variety of sandwiches, burgers, pastries and breads, plus grab-and-go salads, soups, sandwiches, drinks. I had the chicken salad sandwich and a chocolate chip cookie, and both were very tasty. I'm sure I'll be back another day.

Bread & Water is how I start my day! Great espresso, excellent croissants and many hearty breakfast options. What ultimately brings me back are the awesome people, particularly Addy, who keeps everything going! While managing everyone, Addy pulls espresso, steps in as chef, bakes, cooks, and chats.
