One of the newest cocktail bars on King street! This place is super cool and has a bit of a speakeasy vibe.We only got cocktails but they were all super good and unique. One of the bartenders, Andres, who was making our drinks used to work at a Michelin star bar and really showed it.He even made us custom cocktails when asked and was very nice to talk to.The atmosphere is very cute and very Instagrammable. The only thing is you have to use wifi because the bar is underground and there's no signal but other than that will definitely be going back.

I say this without a shred of hyperbole, the best cocktails I’ve ever had. If you love a unique flavor profile, an ingredient you can’t find anywhere else, or just a drink you’ve had before that goes down smoother than you remember, this is the place to try in Old Town.Among the highlights for me were: the Jungle Bird, the Milk Punch, and the Banana Daquiri.None of this to mention one of best selections of whiskey and tequila I’ve seen.I cannot gush enough about this place.

It pains me to write this but this was a disaster on many levels. Hostess was super friendly and our bartender was pleasant but that was the extent of the positive experience. The drinks were just not good. And cleanliness practices were concerning. In fact, I write this as I am terribly sick with what I can only attribute to my cocktail as its the only thing my husband and I didnt share last night. My cocktail had egg whites in it and I noticed they were using boxed pasteurized eggs. Not a big deal but the box was out the WHOLE time we were there. This is something that HAS to be refrigerated. I should have known better than to drink the drink. We observed bartenders scratching their heads and then making drinks. No gloves which, again, not a big deal but it becomes one when your bartenders are observed touching their faces/head, sneezing etc. We had planned to stay for a while but left after one drink. My husband didnt even finish his. People rave about the ambiance but I felt it to look cheesy and cheap. Will not return and will instead make the trek into DC for quality cocktail bars.

Found out about this Gem in Old Town from a couple on the street randomly, " you guys should check out Casa Luna!"And that WE DID!!!I wouldn't call it a speakeasy, but it's unassuming...it's perfect for intimate gatherings or a social space to drop into. Loved the diverse music and the attention to detail in their drinks. On to the customer experience:Liz and Andrew were very welcoming. It was a complete vibe, tucked off below a sushi restaurant (haven't tried the food). We took a seat at the bar and met Kelvin, the mixologist extraordinaire! Crafted up a few mezcal cocktails and enjoyed the music.Enjoyed myself so much I asked to come back for my birthday in a few weeks, and AGAIN the entire experience was A1. Easy reservation and enough space for the 20 folks invited.Liz and Kelvin took care of my guest and had a complimentary birthday toast.Overall experience 5/5 and has taken the #1 spot for cocktails in old town. (My #2 spot is People's Drug). The drinks, music and vibe of Casa Luna is Highly recommended.P.S Literally a week ago, a friend who came for my birthday weeks prior, invited me out for their birthday...and guess what? It was at Casa Luna!!!!

The cocktails were amazing and unique! The staff were very knowledgeable and personable. The atmosphere was chill with an upbeat vibe. We were able to have food from the Asian bistro upstairs which was really fresh and tasty. We will definitely be back here!

Okay - so this was a tough review to write but overall would recommend and would return, however had some issues that I'll keep in mind going forward. First off - the drinks are delicious. I can't drink alcohol, I get very sick if I do, so the fact that the bar tenders could make custom delicious mocktails was awesome. So, an issue we ran into was that I was mistakenly served a cocktail. I didn't know it was a cocktail, I was sitting at a table, not at the bar, so I didn't see it made. when I started drinking it i couldn't taste the alcohol. So when my mocktail was then delivered it was an unpleasant surprise. I didn't have a great evening when I got home, and was sick most of the weekend, despite only having drank a small amount of the cocktail. My husband drank the remainder of the cocktail and agreed it was made so well you just couldn't taste the alcohol! Anyway, just something to be careful if you can't drink alcohol for some reason, to confirm when the drink brought to you doesn't have alcohol in it. As it relates to the food, I would recommend only getting appetizers or snacks. Some members of my group ordered dinner and the wait staff from the restaurant upstairs just seemed to be displeased with having to bring food down to the bar. They also didn't come with everything needed and got annoyed when the group asked for stuff - forks/knives/chopsticks/soysauce/napkins. We definitely felt like a burden. Of note - you pay as you go for the food, so don't be surprised when they bring you the food check right away and then don't be surprised for a separate bill for the drinks. despite these couple of drawbacks, i still really enjoyed coming here and have since recommended it to quite a few people and will gladly return!

The place can be a little hard to find. We walked past it a couple of times since the GPS brought us to the corner and not right in front of the door. Note that it is located in a multi-venue building, with Casa Luna being in the basement and the actual restaurant the food comes from being upstairs. In any case, Casa Luna is small and intimate. The tables are very close together and low so if you intend to order any food, you're better off sitting at the bar for the arm room. I found the hostess (once she emerged) kind and helpful, but it did take a minute or so before we were greeted. Note, if you book a "dining room," table as I mentioned earlier, the food comes from a sushi place upstairs. Worse off, if you're at the bar you have to physically walk upstairs to order it and tell them where you're seated. Honestly, this threw me off because I didn't realize this place didn't have food of its own. For that reason, I recommend this place only for a night cap or a pregame. The cocktails are worth the visit. My Khalessi was quite tasty and presentation was amazing.

They are very much like a speak-easy, located at the bottom floor of the kissu sushi. Solid 3.5 stars. 1. Reservation: highly recommended They have only 10 or so tables on top of the bar, so it gets full fast. 2. Drinks: cool display and decent taste 3. Food: you go up to Kisso and order and pay yourself. Then they will bring it down for you sorta like a take-out. 4. Service: super slow. 20 mins to just get our order despite not busy! I am a bit on the fence about this place. It is worth checking out, but not the best place for special drinks.

This is our second visit and both times have had a great time with great staff, music, and selection of drinks. We order our food upstairs and they bring it downstairs to the bar. Super convenient. The are tables around the perimeter and bar seating. Love this place to close out the night with the wife.

A Great experience. No need to go to DC for a good cocktail. Be sure to try the Breakfast of Champions. Kelvin/Andrew provided great service and are very knowledgeable.

First time and made reservations for 6 pm. So excited to try this place - being a "speakeasy" and a special occasion. The place didn't match the description. We were offered a small table between 2 other tables when the rest of the place only had a few. They had 5-6 nice booths with only one occupied. We asked but were told they were reserved. We opted for the bar instead. Stools were uncomfortable and not much leg room. Our bartender was very accommodating and nice. Drinks were decent. Didn't order bar food as we didn't want to spoil our Dinner (elsewhere). Food options were limited and no snacks (pretzels or something) on bar which would been nice. Place was a bit awkward. The Booths remained empty the entire hour we were there. Unbelievable. We had 1 drink and won't be back.

Chill with an upscale twist. Friendly and eager to impress you with gingerly and artfully prepared cocktails....upstairs menu available to you if you decide to eat!

This is one of the newer additions to the Alexandria bar scene. It gives the speakeasy vibe as it's located downstairs underneath the kisso Asian bistro. As you walk downstairs you're greeted by a blue neon sign and once you enter, from the overall layout of the bar, the booth seating surrounding it, and the dim lighting, they do a great job of creating a relaxing and intimate atmosphere. I came here post dinner and was looking to grab a quick drink but ended up staying way longer than expected. The staff was excellent very personable and knowledgeable about the various cocktails and drinks they offer. They say there's a huge different between bartenders and mixologists and it's very evident here. I had by far one of the best White Russian cocktails and they were also nice enough to allow me to try a few different liquors that I hadn't had much familiarity with. This is one of those hidden gem type places so I strongly recommend going to check this establishment out whether it's for a date night or just gathering with a few friends I'm confident you'll have a great experience.

Showed up with a date around 11pm on a Friday, was seated at the bar then completely ignored by the bartenders. Not even a nod or a "Hi we'll be right with you." I might expect this at a much larger bar with dozens of people waiting for drinks but this place is tiny and it was relatively slow when we arrived. Left after 20 minutes without ordering anything ?

I’ve been to old town a couple of times, but I only happened to check out this cool and chill bar a few weeks ago. They got a cool Christmas tree at the front door. I ordered a drink that comes with an unique flavor. The bartender was super nice, and I was amazed by the decor and atmosphere.
