Impromptu momma son dinner date, I let my son pick the restaurant and this place did not disappoint. The inside was small but nicely decorated, the service from the moment we walked in to the moment we left was great. The server made great suggestions and was really friendly, the wings and bacon appetizer were delicious! We have found our new wing place and look forward to going again soon.

Omg where do I start I ordered a half of rack of ribs, collard greens, and macaroni and cheese. Everything was horrible to me but to each its own. The ribs taste like Cardboard didn’t taste like a rib I ever had in my entire life. The collard greens had so much vinegar I couldn’t taste the meat inside the greens with every bite my jaws quenched. The macaroni and cheese was just fake tasting I can’t describe it not to mention I spent 29 bucks and some change ‼️. Overall the restaurant was clean atmosphere was nice and the customer service was great.

Delicious food, I would say best restaurant in the Mt Vernon area. The food comes out pretty quickly, it is a good option for lunch. The ribs were excellent, I would return just for that. Cooked so the ribs were soft but still stayed on the bone. The collard greens were very good, they were tender with a little bit of crisp, and had some spice to them. The chicken wings were pretty good too. The pulled brisket was delicious, a little greasy but it added a lot of flavor, like birria tacos, it would make some insanely good tacos. Thinking about it, I am going to get some pulled brisket to go and make tacos at home and try it out, corn tortillas with some chopped tomato, onion and cilantro on top and squeeze a lime on it. Edit- tried the taco idea, it was delicious, added avocado slices but what made it work was the fresh lime.

Maple BBQ Wings: terrible. Wings were dry, sauce was so thin it was just lying on the bottom of the paper tray. Flavorless.Elote winge: supposed to be rubbed with Cotija and spices. Flavorless and cotija was either pulevized into a powder or absent. Both were very disappointing. Seems like "ingenuity" is imparted before execution is perfected. Good idea in theory, like Communism.Brisket and Burnt Ends: Awesome! They're the sole reason you got 3 stars instead of 1.Chicken Nuggies: Above AverageMac n Cheese: Woudn't know. Ordered it as my side but didn't receive it.Lime Slaw...I'm guessing they don't use salt which is cardinal sin with slaw because it's what breaks down the cabbage. it was so mediocre and boring we didn't eat it. Found it in our fridge a week later and the cabbage still hadn't wilted. It's physically impossible to have salt in your sauce and the cabbage doesn't wilt/break down. Salt is the most basic, fundamental ingredient. If you're lacking salt in something that needs salt for it to work, I think you need to go back to the Chalkboard and figure out what you're doing.

I am blown away with the amazingly delicious food. Anymore eating out for me is a disappointment, but tonight the whole family was left full bellies and amazed how good the food was. If we didn't live far away I would make this a local place to come for sure. It may be worth the 2 hour drive anyways. We had fried artichoke and it was to die for! On top of great food the bartender was an amazing server. He was on top of everything and great personality. We would give this ten stars if we could.

The barbecue is some of the best in Northern Virginia. The staff is very friendly and responsive. 10/10 would recommend. Lots of great sports, food, and beer.

Inside is small but the food was delicious. The staff was great. The service was great. We will be back again. I do recommend the but a baby changing station in the bathroom. We are their wings had some dry rubs and different sauces they were great. We had the mushroom Swiss burger which was delicious. Kids had the wings grilled cheese and Mac n cheese and they ate it all. We got their strawberry shortcake and chocolate Carmel cheese cake Togo and it was so good. 10/10Kid-friendliness: They only had one high chair and someone was using it but we made it work with what we had and the bathroom could use a baby changing table.

Nice little local place. There were a few mix ups, but they were promptly fixed. Ribs and the Mac and Cheese were very tasty. Cocktails were a very proper strength. The vibe was very chill. Would go back for sure.

Greasiest brisket I ever had. In hindsight, having chopped brisket in stock but being out of sliced brisket should have been a huge red flag. Definitely microwaved.By the way, I don't appreciate getting a snarky reply from the owner one year later. Not the best way to win over customers.
