We are Landrys members and have been eating at the Chart House for over 20 years,we even had our rehearsal dinner for our wedding here.I m writing this poor review because I recently went to dinner on my birthday(April 22,1970/EARTHDAY) and went there instead of Adas on the river(excellent restaurant)because my wife was with me and like I said,we had our rehearsal dinner for our wedding there. The food and service had been excellent for many years but preCovid...things seem to have been going downhill since then....My birthday dinner started off nice even with a card that was signed by staff but then our waiter forgot to bring ice that was requested until the 3rd time I asked,meanwhile another staff member took our sugar caddy and never brought it back....no big deal.....but when my 9 ounce filet came it was prepared medium rare instead of medium well and I cut into it with a butter knife since I was not given a steak knife and the filet was not only cooked wrong but the worst cut of filet ever...tendons and fat.i ordered a filet NOT A RIBEYE.....the mashed potatoes were lukewarm being as nice as I can to say that.....on a positive note,the coconut shrimp were very good and the side of mushrooms were also good. Manager apologized and took my steak off the check but I will go to Adas from now on as the Chart House is NOT WHAT IT USE TO BE!

All of the management here are very rude . This is my 2nd attempt with this restaurant where the management is unprofessional . They don’t try to resolve any complaints or issues. Do not come here unless you want your night ruined by their unprofessionalism .

The restaurant and the view are beautiful. Our server was excellent. I like how the calories were listed for everything. The Cantonese Seabass dish was incredible, but not filling. I spent $80 for the seabass and a $6 faux Mojito and left hungry. I wish there had been more vegetables on the plate. I tried my friend’s Alaskan black cod dish and it was incredible too. I don’t mind spending money on delicious food, but I would like to not still be hungry. I will come back because the food was that good.

Lovely atmosphere right on the Potomac River. I love linen tablecloths and excellent service. The calamari is a great shareable and the cocktails are yummy. We will be back!

Went for my husband's birthday and we both enjoyed ourselves so much we had already planned to come back before we finished our meals? Service was excellent, staff was very friendly. Food was AMAZING, no complaints there. And the overall vibe, decor, and VIEW was stunning. Big windows give nice scenery of the bridge that connects MD & VA and MGM stadium and the National Harbor. Fine dining experience without being *too expensive IMO, the money we spent was definitely worth it❤️ OH and they give free cake for the birthday person?Parking: We parked on the street for about $6 for 2 hours which was plenty of time on a Sunday evening. The garages and parking lots are $15 flat fee

Been here a couple of times but a lot has changed since .Dined with my family. Very stressful environment for the employees I actually feel bad for them because you can see they are understaffed. Saw few tense exchanges between employees due to something not being done on time while waiting for our table. After finally being seated, food took close to 40 minutes to arrive starting with app. Water was not provided to all diners. Restaurant was maybe 60% full but staff was really struggling to keep up. It was Sat evening so that may have something to do with how busy it was. Meat was undercooked and had to send it back once it arrived. Will try again on a different date.

Incredible staff ,view and decor ! The salad bar is worth the trip alone.Update..food went downhill. Microwaves in the OPEN KITCHEN. NO SALAD BAR. FROZEN AND PRECUT STEAKS AND FISH.And the prices went up significantly for less value.Reason..Landry's restaurant group is about the bottom line before the guest. Despite it all, they still do a great business.Wheelchair accessibility: Yes
Horrible experience. The server was extremely rude and we had to ask multiple times to get water refills. She also flagged us down as we were about to exit the door and told us that we shouldn’t come back because we did not tip enough (she was an absent-minded server who made our party feel very uncomfortable and neglected. We are always generous tippers but she truly was out of it). I think the staff managers should discourage this kind of behavior. The food was mediocre and the silverware was not clean (the server did not bother to change out our plates even when we asked her. There was old food residue on our forks). Would not go back. There are cheaper alternatives that serve way better food and have caring and welcoming staff members. Very disappointing!!
We had a wonderful dinner at the Chart House. We enjoyed our crab stuffed shrimp and the crab dip. The service was impeccable. Very impressive visit.

Delicious meal, I had the 14oz New York Strip with Garlic Mashed Potatoes. To get it over the top, I added Mushroom Truffle Butter, wow, amazing. Great view of the water, beautiful old DC. A little slow on the server time, but worth the wait.
