Ambiance is an interesting hole in the wall. We begin with the fluffy warm bread. Soft and fresh and distracting from eating. Then the octopus salad. The octopus is just right; a good sear with a bit of smoky taste, cooked through and just right. Mussels: served with a few pieces of chorizo. Not too many to blot out the flavor of the mussels, mind you. The mussels were a bit dry, this one wasn't swimming in liquid like other places so it. Always fall for the liquid, ordering extra bread to dip into it like a weirdo. Grand marnier soufflés were good. Ask about the dog biscuits!

Loud and not great acoustically during lunch hour because it's a rather small space. Do not expect to whisper.Food was good but feel like I should have ordered something French instead of American (I got a burger).Service staff was friendly.

If I could give you 10 stars, I would. The food is AMAZING! The service is outstanding, and we can’t wait to return. We had the crab Benedict for breakfast one day, we returned for dinner and had the Rock fish and seafood platter. 10 out of 10.

Fine dining in a casual atmosphere. For those of you who are unaware, Del Rey Cafe is the reincarnation of LA Bergerie - just more casual. Many dishes have migrated from there as most of the staff... Even the genius who makes the soufflee. There is not a bad plate among them, but a few are just good and not amazing. The soufflee is a signature dessert and you MUST get. The service is outstanding. I ate at LA Bergerie for 20 years... I will do my best to double that here.

We love brunching here! Delicious omelettes, pancakes and coffee. Mimosas are a bit pricier than other breakfast/brunch spots in the area.

Del Ray Cafe is truly a hidden gem in the Del Ray neighborhood of Alexandria, VA. This quaint brunch spot not only offers delicious food but also goes above and beyond to accommodate its guests, including furry ones! My spouse and I recently visited Del Ray Cafe with our two dogs in tow, and we were delighted to find out that they offer specific accommodations for canine companions. While their patio was initially closed, the staff graciously opened it up for us to dine with our dogs, which was a lovely gesture considering the highly dog-friendly nature of the neighborhood. Now, onto the food - it was simply stellar. I opted for the 8 oz. Black Angus Burger with Brie Cheese, Onion Confit, Hand-cut Fries, and Organic Egg with Avocado Aioli. The burger was cooked to perfection - juicy, flavorful, and served in a generous portion size. My spouse tried the Eggs Benedict Croissant with Canadian Bacon, Poached Eggs, and Hollandaise Sauce, and he couldn't stop raving about how delicious it was. While the food was top-notch, I must mention that the service was a bit slow during our visit. However, the friendly and accommodating staff more than made up for it with their warm hospitality and attention to detail. Overall, Del Ray Cafe is a charming brunch spot that I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a delicious meal in a cozy setting. Whether you're dining with friends, family, or even your four-legged companions, Del Ray Cafe is sure to impress with its delectable menu and welcoming atmosphere.

Wow! So delicious. Staff was so friendly and attentive. It was a bit crowded and warm inside the day we were there and the menu could use a graphic designer, but seriously awesome place to eat. They even gave us some dog treats to take back home to our puppy! Yummo, you need to go here! French toast and pancakes on point. Roasted potatoes perfection!

Terrible value for what you get. We ordered the trumpet mushroom with vegetables and quinoa entree amongst other items. The trumpet mushrooms were a complete joke-just 3 tiny slivers (about 1-2oz total). They are supposed to be a delicacy and have a really robust taste, so now I'm wondering if those were actually trumpet mushrooms or something else. I'd be less upset if they tasted amazing but these mushrooms had no taste. Oh and it cost $29 so that was hugely disappointing. Other entrees were equally expensive and tasted lackluster. Everything was overpriced, not enough quantity, and tasted just okay.

One of the best restaurants hands down in the DMV. When I have meetings in Delray / Alexandria it’s one of the best go tos!Quiche is out of control and a must get.Their crab cake Benedict is my favorite choice and most times I’m choosing this savory dish. The poached eggs are high quality and done perfectly every time.If you are going here on the weekends make sure you come early to find parking. This is a great spot to ride-share to and from.
