The food here is home style Korean food, it was simple and comforting. I didn't like the frozen chicken wings, they were too salty, but I still gave them 5☆s for other other things that were made from scratch, especially the Mandu (pot stickers).The restaurant's atmosphere needs a lot of help, Christmas decor still hanging with spider webs, the roof is leaking, and just a buch of random stuff horded. Not the inviting vibe for me, but I still gave it a chance and was glad. Heard they might be closing due to landlord issues, do check them out before they are gone.
not just a kimchi house, but a kimchi home. kind of pricey for a neighborhood restaurant, but the portions are massive and the quality of the food is great; you’ll have leftovers for days that reheat nicely. staff are sweet sweet older women. personal favorite menu items include the kim bob, jap chae, and classic beef bulgogi.

The woman who owns and operates this place says shes been there for 17 years. When she greeted us at the door you can feel the love she has for the restaurant. Shes a sweet older lady that does it all! She was there by herself and was the hostess, the bartender, the cook, and the waiter. As a result of it just being her there by herself the service slowed down a bit. The interior was so cozy and welcoming we didn't mind.The food was delicious and I'd definitely want to come back again. It's a shame it took me this long to discover this place!

We got the kimchi stew and jap chae and they were both excellent. The atmosphere is one of a kind and very cozy. The owner is endearing and sweet! When we went she was the only one working (she was chef, hostess, and server) and she kept her cool and everything ran smoothly!

My sister and I called before we came to see if they were open because it was going to storm! Came in an hour before closing and we are so glad we did!! The FOOD WAS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! I haven’t had good authentic Korean food in years!! Absolutely great hospitality from Sun young!! We were so saddened to hear they’ll be closing soon. So I’d definitely recommend stopping by to try all the delicious food!! Before you miss the amazing opportunity to try some really good food!!
