Ok. I am pleasantly surprised. I ordered the smoked turkey for an office party it was PERFECT! Not kidding. PERFECT! This is a new go to. The turkey was delicious! I was in a bind when I ordered and I am the luckiest person ever. Not kidding when I say this was my best decision ever.

Ventured out on a Saturday to Alexandria. Found this place thru Google. Thought we try some grilled food out that way! A whole lot of selections to choose from! Food was very good and yes with flavor despite seeing other people's comments, you have to remember you may be use to one flavor in your area. I had the special for the day, Blue plate platter which is grilled blackened chicken which include 2 sides of your choice, mac and cheese and the corn pudding. My friend had the trio special which include pork, chicken and beef with collard greens and potatoe salad and a side order of fried okra. We both enjoyed our food and friendly customer service. We didn't have to wait long either for our food. We dined in and they bring the food out to you. We were there early enough before any crowds and there are seating outside as well! ?

Rocklands catered a large party for us. Everything was superb: working with the catering department figuring what and how much to order, the delivery, and the wonderful and varied food options. Our guests raved about the food and wanted to know where we got it. We will definitely use them again and recommend them highly.

Rocklands is hands down the best BBQ in DC. Their food is great and we love using them to cater our parties as well as just a night out for dinner. We got catering over the weekend and the driver was excellent, she arrived right on time, set everything up perfectly and showed us how to light the sternos when we were ready. Had a taste for barbecue and decided to try out Rockland barbecue. The baby back ribs, barbecue chicken and fried okra was delicious. You can taste a little bit of spice on the marinade cooked over charcoal. There is outside seating and curbside ordering.

Whenever I’m in Alexandria I MUST stop here and get their ribs- beef or pork. The beef ribs are amazing. Large and tender. They really look like the Flintstone bronto ribs.

I hosted150 guest retirement party for my husband on 3 July. Rocklands did an amazing job from start to finish. Planning was easy. Weyland (manager) came to look at the party location a few weeks ahead of time to determine the best area to serve the food. The day of the event the servers arrived on time and set up a beautiful table. They were even willing to set up and serve other items that I had prepared to go along their food. Serving crew were EXCELLENT (I think John was the lead supervisor)! Friendly, courteous and very accommodating. We were able to enjoy the event along with our guest with no worries from beginning to end. Weyland even came by during the party to make sure everything was going smoothly . I live in AL and planned this event from long distance. All went smoothly and I would definitely use them again and recommend them for your event!
