The service here was excellent! The owners were so friendly and welcoming, and even Gave a separate dish on the house! I also liked that the prices we’d much more reasonable than other restaurants.

I highly recommend Sora Ethiopian Market & Cafe on 5145 Duke St, Alexandria, VA 22304. The customer service is exceptional, and their Ethiopian dishes transport me back to the amazing flavors I experienced in Ethiopia. It's a must-try for anyone craving authentic Ethiopian cuisine. My friend and I both loved it Ethiopian Restaurants.

The food was so fresh and delicious. The servers were so attentive and kind when my friend and I (who are clearly not Ethiopian) were having trouble deciding what to order. Can't wait to go back.

Ordered delivery from here a couple of times and love the food! I normally get my Ethiopian food from Keren in DC but they stopped offering delivery so I tried out Sora, glad I did because it's really good. Most recent order got the veggie combo and extra full fried tilapia, and a lamb tibs. Loved all the food and have plenty of leftovers. The amount of food I got was enough for 6 meals for me. Note for self: ordered the ribeye ribs once, don't get it again, it was way spicier than the lamb tibs and the meat was tough.

Secret gem location for Ethiopian home cooking restaurant. Owner is very kind and friendly and it's local gem for people who lives close by. Price is very fair and portions are great!

Pleasantly surprised. Got the veggie combo and thoroughly enjoyed it. Prices are great too! Seems like a great hole in the wall. Was a bit worried because I went in around 6pm and expected to see customers for a dinner rush. The place was instead empty. Took a bit to talk to someone who worked there and knew the orders, but nothing crazy. They were out of something and gave a suggestion on what to replace it with. I got there 30 minutes after I placed my online order and it felt like she waited until I got there to start the order (maybe because they were out of one of the dishes). Overall good and I will be back!

What a gem. The food is scrumptious, the servers are super nice, and the place is nice and clean. I'll definitely be back.

This was my first time trying Ethiopian food but the owner made my experience the best. The food was amazing. The restaurant was nice, clean, and spacious!! The parking lot was not very big and the red is in a shopping center so that was not that good but we did find parking. The food was great. Good flavor, plenty of food to have extras.

Went on a Monday evening for dinner and was highly disappointed. As an Ethiopian I like to try out different spots in the area so I can support and recommend when asked. This place was definitely empty when we arrived and that already put a bad taste in my mouth but I decided to give it a try. I ordered the miser which was sweet and if u know what miser truly taste like it's not sweet! Also got the beg awaze tibs which was okay but very oily and the meat was tough the sauce was somewhat tasty. Also tried the quanta fir fir and that was not good. Tasted like they just microwaved everything. I should've trusted my gut and turned back out when I noticed it was empty, but I just wanted to share my experience because I definitely would not recommend this restaurant! The service was good the two ladies were stil rushing us to order when it was empty which made no sense but they were kind.

Long overdue rave review. I've been going here for years and never been disappointed. Tonight I called to say how much I enjoyed the whole cooked tilapia a few days ago with the 5 veggies -- and lo and behold! a few hours later this evening I ordered it again. Absolutely delicious, satisfying, and leftovers are easily reheated in microwave with a damp paper towel over them on a safe plate for no more than a minute, if that. Do check.Thank you for providing wonderful authentic Ethiopian food within walking distance, or delivery, for me. Much appreciated.

We got the vegetarian platter and the beef tips with additional sides. Everything was flavored so well, absolutely delicious, and packaged so well for delivery. Highly recommend and will be back.
