An absolute gem! Everyone was lovely, the cocktails AND mocktails were delicious, and the small plates were to die for! Can't wait to go back and dig into their wine list. Don't leave without the trying the charred dates or the fried goat cheese, they're knockouts!!Vegetarian options: Some veg small plates, would love to see more veg entrees on the menu

We sat at the bar and the management and servers were all great. They have a fairly limited menu for both food and wine but the choices are fun and unique, so definitely give this place a try. We shared the sun chokes which were excellent, the fish which was cooked perfectly, and the pasta which was earthy and tasted legitimately like a traditional Italian dish.

This was my second time dining here. The first time was incredible and one of the top three meals I've had in Old Town. This time, I went for Alexandria Restaurant Week and this place lived up to my inital impression. I was glad to see the tables seem like they have more space than what I remembered (I just recall the first time that the table seemed tiny & cramped). I appreciated the server being able to confirm for me that the green goddess dressing did contain fish as soon as I asked. The service and food were great, and I do not hesitate to recommend this place to anyone looking for a delicious & elevated dining experience in Old Town. I will mention that apparently the bar seats are reservation only as we overheard the hostess tell some people who came in and asked if they could just sit at the bar. I was surprised to hear that, so plan ahead and make sure you have reservations before showing up since the restaurant isn't big.

My partner and I walked in on a Wednesday at 5:30 p.m., where we had almost the whole restaurant to ourselves. We had a wonderful time and thought the food was delicious. Pros: Great service. Super attentive host and waiter. The bolognese is now in my top 5 bolognese of all time (it's one of my go-tos). Incredible playlist, jumping from throwback 90s rap to more current pop/indie songs. Nice list of wines, including local VA options. Dessert: Spice cake w/ginger and thyme was a great idea, icing was so good, but the cake itself was a bit dry.Meh: The burger was just OK, and I can see how some people might be put off by the pricing. It's a very DC-scene, Instagrammy restaurant, and when it's crowded I'm sure everyone is squished together. Overall: I would recommend to anyone for a post-work cocktail or glass of wine. Great for first dates. Beautiful design. And not quite on King St, so you can find parking! We'll be back for more, and I think it will only get better with time.

Everything here was SO GOOD. Start with the charred dates, which are incredible — seriously. The lemony pasta, the fried oysters, the sunchokes and the NY strip were also highlights. The vibe was also great, I would totally come back here and sit at the bar and drink more of their Manhattan variations. Love this spot.

We're locals, so this one hurts a little bit more. We tried to go to Virginia's Darling last evening, checked the website, followed the reservation links, saw the pop-up plans, and the clear note "Our bar seats are always first come, first serve." Wanting to sit at the bar, we didn't make a reservation. When we arrived the smug host informed us that with the pop-up the bar seats were only for reservation: there were still six open. We explained that their website said otherwise, that we'd purposely tried to give their restaurant a try. She smiled in that "Bless your heart" dismissive way. We won't be back.

Attended the Pasta truffle pop up and the experience was great. Went with a group of friends and had a chance to try pizzas and pastas alike each surpassing the other in taste and flavor. My friend got the Jones brown pie which was super flavorful and the bread omg the best. I got the vodka pasta and mushroom one and they were so flavorful. The crunchy element in the mushroom was a yummy surprise. Additionally the desserts are so good. Tiramisu and cannolis the best. Would recommend!
