This place is so good! The presentation is gorgeous, service is great, and the portions were large. Best sushi I have had outside of a Michelin-starred omakase experience. I almost can’t believe that there is sushi this good in a grocery store food court, but I’m glad there is!

Delicious and fresh fish! It's in the food court of the K Market Grocery store. The prices are always reasonable and the employees and owners are very friendly.

This place is in a food court of an Asian grocery store. First, even with a 3-star rating, I'd give it another chance. Why not a higher rating? Well, the tuna on the deluxe sashimi order for about $30 was seared lightly and had some chewy/sinewy portion. Plus, the tuna had a slight detectable fishy smell. This searing on the outer part was an indication of the lack of freshness with the tuna, in my opinion, and I've never ever seen seared sashimi before. Another problem I had was an incredibly small amount of wasabi a that was included. And the pickled ginger was a teaspoonful. The wasabi was a pea-size amount. Really?! What made up for these negatives was the variety of seafoods that were decently fresh and tender. If they fix these issues, their rating would go up.

Sushi was not very fresh and avocado seemed unripe. Only 6 small pieces.

Excellent quality, value, and service. Suny sushi is a small food court stall but it is well worth a visit. The sushi is so fresh and clean, it melts in your mouth. The place itself has friendly staff and shared seating at the food court

This is a great sushi spot. Very underrated, but a hidden gem inside K Market. I've ordered multiple times and recently got take away for a salmon and sushi bento box, an order of temaki hand rolls, and a plain old California roll.Great quality, and delicious. If you're looking for good sushi and don't need a fancy atmosphere, go to SUNY.I'd rate the quality almost as good as Ariake, but for the value and taste, SUNY deserves a good rating.Vegetarian options: All the typical veggie rolls.Kid-friendliness: Lots of kids and families busily dining in the cafeteria.Parking: Just park outside the K Market. Far enough away from the Block to find a spot.Wheelchair accessibility: Tight maneuvers inside K Market, like any grocery store. But overall open spaces.

Mr Sunny is nice, Miss Sunny not so much. She tried to pass off imitation crab as lump crab meat. I told her about it, she brushed me off. Mr Sunny wanted to fix it and I eventually got a $7 replacement, my $14 order. Not sure if I’ll try them again. The food it self was good though!

I would not recommend this establishment unless you are completely ignorant about sushi and what it should be. The shari of the nigiri must be seasoned with Yokoi akazu and formed with a gentle touch so that the individual pearl-like grains of the rice must disburse evenly as you take the initial bite of the nigiri. That being said, don't expect much. The rice is cold, congealed, and basically unseasoned. On top of that, lackluster protein which includes the shrimp which is not deveined. If you have the means, please go to a proper establishment that serves true edomae sushi that is crafted with care. This involves hundreds of dollars but it is well worth the price.

Dirty Utensils - I had to change my spoon twice due to stains and food particles remained. It looks like they don’t do proper dish washing at all.Once I received the plate, my appetite disappeared due to all of filthy plates. The food tray was full of sticky stuff and dirty.I won’t go back to this place at all.It used to be a great sushi place but what happened today?Fish quality was not good not fresh as well.

They’re located in the K-market food court. I tried their sushi because of the high rating on Google. Did not get anything raw, but still had food poisoning the same night and it lasted into the next day. I would not personally go back again because of it.

This is a gem tucked away in the back of the food court! Super fresh fish and quick service for both dine-in and takeout. PSA- This restaurant is part of the food court and not an actual restaurant.I got 2 of the salmon avocado rolls and was thoroughly impressed. Rolls prices varied, but averages about $7.50 per roll.

I really like this place! Being a food court sushi place, their quality is actually really nice. Although over the year their quality has visibly dropped, it's still quite nice for what you pay for.

We got the sashimi bento and the fried pepper appetizer. The bento gave so much for its price and was very filling and very fresh. The peppers were stuffed full of tuna and cream cheese and delicately fried. A hidden gem of a place!

Who would've known an unassuming food court sushi stall would have such fresh fish?! Stopped by Suny Sushi after shopping at Kmart and I was blown away at how good the sashimi was here. The quality was on par with fish you would get at a fine dining / omakase restaurant, but for less than a fraction of the price. It's unfortunate we don't live too close by but will definitely be coming back here in future for some fresh and affordble sushi!
