If you go on a tuesday, do the taco bar- they load up the tacos and you can get your food immediately. I didnt realize this so I got the street tacos and they tasted alright but took over 30 minutes to get the food and the toppings weren't nearly as much as what was given at the taco bar. The corn tortillas weren't anything special but the meats were seasoned nicely. The chips and salsa were fantastic. The house margarita was a basic house margarita that was enjoyable. I'd return for the taco bar & happy hour.

I come here quite often and honestly everything is always fine, from the food, to the drinks, and the service. But on Friday March 15th around 5:00pm I was greeted by KIRA who had wonderful service. That’s what I thought until a few days later when an additional $15 was added to my bill after I tipped her in cash. That is stealing and I am going to report her as much as I can!!! Be careful she seems sweet and innocent and the whole time is a Thief!!

Stopped by here for Sunday brunch. Food was good. Tomas, our waiter, was very attentive and provided excellent service! It was nice to watch staff make churro Pancakes and tortillas fresh on the grill.The place was a bit empty for midday though. Gotta remember to stop by here for happy hours - their menu offering looks really good.

Solid Tex-Max place that I used to visit all the time at when I lived nearby but now I only get to check this place out occasionally. The frozen margs are really tasty here, especially the pineapple coconut margarita. The chips and salsa are good as ever and the salsa has that enjoyable smoky flavor that you don't get most places. My enchilada combo was also tasty and I enjoyed the beef enchilada and the pork one. It also came with a large portion of rice and black beans. This was a lot of food and I was barely able to finish everything. Service was fast and friendly as usual and the bar is a great place to relax with friends. This place is worth checking you if you're in the area and want some Tex-Mex and a tasty frozen margarita.

This place has been here for many years.They still have the best chips and salsa around!Gaupos comes close but does not win.Their appetizers are also all great, the sampler is a good place to try a mix if your first time here.Drinks are also really good and they have Happy Hour specials at the bar almost every day.The service can be slowwwww but the food is always pretty good.They still beat all the new place around Pentagon City and Crystal City as long as it’s not too busy or 100 busses on the street which also happens here.Just be prepared or call ahead to make reservations.The appetizer platter will feed two to four people!A good sampler of most of the appetizers they have!The house margaritas are also very good!We went back for another visit.It is definitely worth a visit if you like Tex Mex, the place could use a little tlc but it’s still a pretty good place for a meal.You can also park in a covered area and not have to get wet or freeze!They validate parking but only for one hour!We paid an extra dollar to park!I am going to add that the taquitos are the best around!I tried another place yesterday and they can’t hold a candle to Chevys in that department!

The service is always good although they are out of the. Beer I drink which I don't get. Tonight I came down for the tacos and was a bit disappointed in the amount of meat that was served. They use a decent size flour tortilla which they make onsite, but for some reason the lady serving tacos tonight was skimping on the meat which I didn't understand because they were closing down the taco bar early and had a good amount left over. Perhaps they save it and use it again some where else. The last time I had tacos the lady did a great job making the tacos, they should keep her on taco duty or have her train the other lady how to do it. I wish the MOD had asked me how I was going while I still had tacos on my plate so I could show her, but alas she asked when I was already finished. I love the vibe, the bartenders and usually the food. Maybe next time they will be on target, perhaps I will return to find out!
