The restaurant wasn't busy tonight. And I can't even say the service was slow. It was pretty much non-existent. The restaurant is too expensive to have such awful service. It took over 25 minutes for drink refills and one person's food came out 20 minutes after the other food. We definitely will not be back.

We live nearby and come here all the time - we love this place! Our waiter Hector is the man!! Food is always fresh with a good selection of local ingredients and always delicious.

Great food and ambiance. More space than other locations I've been to. Like to come every time visit DC.

Went to visit matchbox with My friends, had the worst servers in history- Ana. the server couldn't care less about taking care of us, it was just horrible!!!! At least the food is good.

We ordered through Uber Eats three times, and each time the restaurant got our order wrong. Apologies were offered, of course, and even compensation. But before that happened, I got an argument -- it was the driver's fault, we were very busy or, this last time, we can't issue the refund, only Uber Eats can do it and the customer has to call. The food is good...when we get it. But we won't be taking that chance again. Note the bag. There was no salmon delivered.

Invited by friends to meet here for dinner. Quan, or server greeted us, explained the menu, took our drinks order and let us decide what we wanted to eat. All orders were prompt, the portions are more than sufficient and we were all satisfied. Would definitely dine here again.

I thought it was a very good venue. I had the crab cakes and that was plenty of crab! Enjoyed some wine at the bar with my fiancé. He had the pesto pasta and I had a bite it was delicious!!

Food was mediocre and extremely overpriced. Pizza just so-so: thin, floppy crust with no char. The Matchbox pizza was supposed to have bacon but was mostly pepperoni. Service was on the slow side. Elevator is broken so if you have mobility issues, you'll have to climb stairs. to seating on upper floors. Happy Hour pricing doesn't apply anywhere but the bar, which is bad business; it's a disincentive to bring large groups after work because unless they can all fit at the bar.

Constant disappointment. Service isn't bad. It's just clear no one really specializes in customer service. My takeout orders are never right. They're always out of things I like mid-day. Sometimes it's cash only. When I go to enjoy a low key dinner alone and the place is half empty, sis seats me directly next to a huge party. Like I understand the whole server ratio but for a restaurant charging 30$ for ever entree and 16$ for every appetizer has extremely average service. I've spoken to managers...still mid. From top to bottom. One time I came to pick up my own food and EVERYONE talked to me like I worked for Uber eats. Literally. That's a straight up microagression in my book. The food cost too much for me to get better service at Taco Bell. I didn't really want the booth I was seated in. But the hostess didn't really care. The booth was broken. The cushion isn't secured to anything so it flies up in the air when you sit in the edge. So when I slid out of the booth I nearly fell (in front of the large party I DIDNT want to sit next to) and twisted my knee. Smh.

I recently stopped by Matchbox on a Friday afternoon for Social Hour. We came by at 3 pm, when it's supposed to start, but for some reason they said to come back at 4 pm? Construction maybe? We wound up going to get food elsewhere but did come back around 5 pm to see if they were open for HH. They were but the hostess started by telling us one of the ovens was down and we could only order certain things off the menu? Luckily we were only there for drinks but it was a little off putting to have to let downs Back to back on the same day. Luckily we got a seat at the bar and received service right away. I wound up just having the Chloe Rose. It was good but nothing incredibly special.

I went there lunch time on a Saturday around 1pm. The restaurant was not extremely busy but they seemed to have a couple of large parties. Pros: Food is delicious Tuna tartare tacos is a must try Their veggie garden pizza is good Cons: -Service was bad. At first I thought it was a staffing issue which would have been somewhat understandable considering it's a nationwide issue but it was more of our server issue. All other servers were attending well to their tables and outs was no where to be found. We didn't enjoy our meal and $100 went down the drain. He never provided us with plates for our appetizers, our food took so long to come out especially in comparison to other tables. -The restaurant is dirty. We sat next to an area that is dusty . Disgusting, I didn't notice it until the end or I would have walked out in the beginning. We will not return!

I ordered medium burger; my burger had a light crust but smelled funny like raw meat. Sure enough, it was RARE all the way. I never had a decent meal here... never ever coming back again. Back to Lebanese Taverna or 23rd street for me!

Not accessible from inside mall. Service was fine. Relatively empty inside. I liked the outdoor seating upstairs. Overlooked a nice view of construction lol. They didn't bring waters or ask if we wanted that. We had to request one. They didn't have (ran out of) any coffee... which made my brain explode. It was 1230 on Sunday, 1.5 hours after brunch started. My rosé was on the stale side. Only a remnant of fizziness, a bit disappointing but I didn't tell them to take it back because I didn't want to be petty. Brunch special for an app and main food $30 is worth it if you pair certain items. The old bay "jumbo" wings were tiny and dry... I wouldn't have wanted to pay $15 for 6 of those but having gotten that and the eggs benedict it only made them $3 technically. The crab cake eggs Benedict was not great. Crab cake was mushy, the avocado was mushy, the bread was chewy/a bit tough, the eggs were NOT poached- in fact they were completely cooked through. However the potatoes were PHENOMENAL and the redeeming factor for the meal. Would not get again overall. This place is fine. I think there are plenty of other good spots to dine at in Pentagon City so I probably wouldn't return unless a friend insisted on it.

The Alfredo sauce was wonderful. Definitely has a homemade taste which was great. Really nice atmosphere as well. Definitely would recommend

Pizza and Mocktail were very delicious! Location and atmosphere was very rustic and welcoming. Bad news, no one welcomed us. No help with the door, I walk with a cane. It took about 10-12 minutes for someone to come to our table, introduce themselves and take our drink and food order. Our server Marvin, failed to welcome us and introduce himself. Our server Marvin, needs retraining in customer service etiquette. I'm not sure if we'll come back to this particular location. Woman's bathroom is absolutely beautiful and very rustic!
