I met some friends for dinner. This was my first time to visit this restaurant. It was. To do overall experience was not worth the price point. The value wasn’t there. One thing I’ve read in the other reviews is that the service was substandard. I would agree. It took multiple trips and raiders for our server to bring my wine. And, she never brought the clam chowder. At the end of the meal, we had to remind her that she never brought it. Of course, she apologized, boxed it up and did not charge us. But, I think this is a systemic issue for this restaurant. They must refuse to hire enough, qualified people to serve the number of people who visit and dine there. To me, if you refuse to make changes to what I now think are valid complaints, you probably don’t deserve my business. Businesses need to read and take reviews seriously.I ordered a sirloin steak. I ordered it rare. It was more on the side of medium rare. But, it was very grizzly and hard to cut. Again, their price point makes you think you’re going to get something really good. Now, I understand that if you want really good steak, a sirloin is probably not the first choice. But, I I feel like ordering a sirloin gives me a good idea of what kind of quality chef and preparation a restaurant have. The mashed potatoes were very good. They were quite tasty. We also ordered a couple of appetizers, the kisses shrimp and raw oysters. The shrimp were delicia. And, the oysters were also very good. No complaints. My advice, hire more servers. Your reviews support this. And, be certain to select the best meat of you are going to charge at this price point.

This place used to be good. Wedge salad terrible - looked like it was sitting in a fridge for a long time, almost no bacon and limited blue cheese. Main course even worse - avoid seafood Alfredo. 100% frozen seafood - hard like rubber. The prices they charge at this place is hugely disappointing for the quality of food you get. Only good part about this meal was the nice bartender

Chanell was our waitress today! She did a fantastic job. Very attentive and timed the appetizer and main perfectly. She was patient and informative when we had questions. The quality of the food was good, but for the price we paid I was expecting a little bit more. The seafood fettuccine tasted great, but there was only one shrimp that was cut up. Both the shrimp pieces and scallops were dry. Otherwise a great dish. My fiancée had the lobster bisque and truffle mac and cheese. For the latter, definitely box pasta and was lacking truffle.

03.2024My husband brought me here for my birthday. The atmosphere was pleasant with dimmed lighting and music (not loud). The food was ok. Some dishes were better than others. The Crispy Asian Calamari was amazing, not greasy and crisp. The Shrimp Kisses were good, the seasoning was on point. The steak had to be recooked to medium well not well done. It tasted better at medium well. The lobster was over cooked. The lobster mash potatoes lacked taste and seasoning. The Casino Mahi Mahi was delicious!!!? The blistered brussel sprouts were okay; needed more seasoning. The service we received was sub par. Our waitress seemed discombobulated but her personality was nice. In the beginning, there seemed to be confusion on who was assigned our waiter…we think that threw our waitress of her usual routine.Overall, my experience was okay. I don’t think I’ll be coming back to this location.

Great meal, but it took over 2.5 hours. The server forgot about us at times, but otherwise was knowledgeable and friendly. Bathroom was immaculate.

I came here with a group of friends for dinner, before heading to the Alamo to check out a movie. I had high expectations of McCormicks & Schmick's (M&S), especially since I had suggested this place as our meet up spot. Unfortunately, they missed the mark. Definitely a step down from how I remember M&S used to be. The food was okay, in general, but the Crab & Shrimp Stuffed Salmon and Oyster Rockefeller I ordered were lackluster. The Salmon was unseasoned IMO, tasteless and no flavor. The crab and shrimp stuffing on the salmon was unimpressive, with baby shrimp the size of an M&M in the stuffing. The Oyster Rockefeller, which is one of my favorite dishes I order when available at a seafood restaurant, totally missed the mark. The buttery, melted cheesy-bacon breadcrumb top crust that it is known for was lost in the replacement of a bland watery-runny "cheese sauce" topping with spinach over the oysters (hence the Yelp 2 Stars instead of 5).....really 2 1/2 Stars if there was such an option. The Bone-In Ribeye Steak, Pork Chop, Fish n' Chips and Bacon Wrapped Shrimp appetizer that my friends ordered were all a nod of somewhat contentment or just okay gesture based on their feedback. The service and bar drinks, on the other hand, was fantastic. Our waitress Breyanna was exceptional and whoever was at the bar made some great, strong drinks! All the staff we encountered were very kind and attentive. I just wish the food would have been better. Considering the price point and food alone, I would most likely not come here again. This M&S would not be my first pick or choice to eagerly dine again when in this area. There are a lot of food choices within the same vicinity....just door steps away that are better.

I sat in the bar area on the evening of 2/29 for 15 minutes without being acknowledged. As such, I walked out and took my money elsewhere. Another lady followed suit. It’s not my responsibility as a customer to track someone down to garner service as I had to do on a few occasions at this restaurant. This is not the first time I’ve experienced this lack of service at this establishment, but it will certainly be the last. Recommend training your staff to properly scan their area of responsibility. Do not patronize this place if you value your time. Crystal City has many restaurants willing to extend the superb service consumers deserve.

A fine dining restaurant with terrific atmosphere. The ambiance was great. Some on street pay parking. Close to Crystal City Metro stop walking distance. We were visiting our son again 2024 in Washington DC and had eaten here a year ago. The menu is fantastic and many varied seafood and meat meals. All three of us ordered the Calamari Frito Miso as an appetizer. Delicious. My wife and I ordered the Signature Flounder parmesan crusted--absolutely delicious and 2 large portions. My son ate Shrimp Pomodoro. Also terrific. Pricey but worth well going here. The server Danyell was professional, personable, and courteous. She catered to all of our dining needs. Outstanding fine dining experience. Highly recommend.
