Finally went last night as I live a block away. The food was incredible, every dish hit. The service was warm and friendly, felt like I'd known them forever. Will be back!

Everything was perfect. I’ve been here several times now. Great spot in the neighborhood. Good for dinner or just drinks and apps. Menu changes often, seems to be seasonal. Great wine selection at reasonable prices. Hosts are very welcoming.

This is not just a wine bar, it’s an excellent restaurant. I’d come here for the food, alone — but I swear the wine prices are fantastic. Plus no corkage fees. And honestly I’ve come so much that I also come for the owners - delightful and caring people with great recs and attitudes. Could not love this place more!! Thank god it’s in Ballston - it’s a cut above the competition.

Excellent restaurant with a lovely, creative menu with lots of finesse. You can choose from a good wine selection from many parts of the world, curated by the owners. I loved the hazelnut cheesecake(no, it's not a dessert) and the crab stuffed peppers for appetizers. Then, we tried the short rib ( yes, 1 short rib) which was heavenly, and a delicious pork loin with mushroom grits. The service was excellent. A must if you are in Arlington.

The owner is a weird jerk. I was standing outside on the sidewalk texting a friend trying to figure out where she was and where we were going to meet. This @ss stands by the door waving his hands shrugging his shoulders at me in an aggressive and confrontational manner. I asked him if something was wrong and he asks me why I'm standing outside his restaurant in the most confrontational tone. First of all I was on the sidewalk, so what I was doing was none of his business. I avoid confrontation so didn't say anything to him and just walked across the street to Seamore. After texting my friend I found out we were supposed to meet at Piroutte. We stayed at Seamore. I'll never go to Pirouette and I'll be sure to tell all my friends and everyone I ever meet to not go there. My friend told me the jerk at the door was the owner and he has a reputation for being difficult for no reason. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

Sorry i really gave it a chance today and although service and ambience was great food was lacking both in quality and quantity for price range. Will come back for just wine next time.

Overpriced and tasteless. Ordered the mussels and the plate was 95% noodles, which was completely unexpected. Flavor wasn’t good and options were limited for such a basic menu. Not coming back.

UPDATE:What I write is my personal review of my experience at a public location and does not represent the company I work for. What type of person stalks the customer and brings up the person’s work place and lists my entire check on their response?? This has nothing to do with my job, but the behavior of the owner which made my experience at his restaurant a horrible experience.I alone ordered those items and paid myself plus a good tip to the waitress regardless of my horrible experience. To make matters worst, his version and response of what happened are completely untrue. He made up details in a very aggressive attempt to discredit and slander our character. What type of person does that!?I was so excited to try this restaurant but left very disappointed due to the rudeness and aggressive interaction with of the owner/ manager. The food was mediocre, but the wine and the young staff were good, minus the fact that she didn’t know what gluten free meant though it’s an option on their menu. My friends made a reservation for girl’s night, we were happy to forgo our reservation and sat at an open seating since we had other friends join us. The owner approached us telling my friends and I that our friend’s acquaintance made him feel uncomfortable with no cause. He just made an assumption with no cause or reason. The acquaintance did not do anything to disturb the peace or cause any problems at a restaurant but the owner seemed to already have made up his mind about what type of person he was. He ordered a beer and hung out with our friends for a little bit. We told our friends of the owners statement and they decided to quickly finish their meals and peacefully leave altogether so the girls and I could enjoy our dinner and not be bothered by the owner. Then the owner approached us again yelling and embarrassing us “are you guys going to pay for his drink!?” We were surprised by his approach and statement because it was rude and inappropriate. Our friends had already paid for the drink on their tab. The owner didn’t check with his staff before approaching us, he just jumped to conclusions once again. At the end of our meal I approached the owner to tell him that he made our experience very uncomfortable. This place is not cheap and I alone spent $120 so I expected better from the place and my experience, specially did not expect to be harassed by him. He didn’t apologize and I told him we would never return again.I’m not complaining about the price of this place and happily paid, plus I gave the wait staff a good tip since it was not her fault how the owner behaved. He is beyond rude and I’m not the first to say it. You can see it in his very aggressive and inappropriate response. This is not the behavior of other restaurant owners in this area who know what being in hospitality means.

1. Very limited menu2. They don’t allow tasting the wine before you buy a bottle4. Service is disorganized. I had already paid my bill and left a tip when I was putting on my coat to leave when she approached me and said that she forgot to charge me for something, which was only $9 so I had to stop at the exit and have her run my credit card again.3. The manager was extremely rude to my whole party. A man, who we did not know but was a friend of another patron, came in and was drinking a beer. While he was there, the manager came over to us, asking if we knew him and telling us the guy was making him nervous because he looked like he was on drugs. The guy was dressed strangely but was not causing any trouble or talking to ither patrons. Then, the guy left, the manager came over to me and told me the guy didn’t pay so I would need to cover his tab. Naturally, I ran out to tell the guy he needed to pay his tab and he said it was taken care of. So I came back in and the manager admitted that his tab had been paid. So, he embarrassed me in front of a restaurant people by having me running after this guy, when there was absolutely no reason. He didn’t even apologize. So rude

I love this spot. The wines are delicious and affordable, the owners are the type who work at the restaurant/ shop and are available for any questions or concerns. One note is that the food is a bit eccentric— very French but with a twist. So check out the menu before you come or if you like more traditional dishes, maybe eat at home!

This wine cafe is amazing! We tried this new wine bar and cafe with a group of friends and stayed for hours. This cafe is absolutely perfect addition to Arlington for outings out with friends, date nights, or after work outing with colleagues. The menu offers a delicious variety of unique options. They were exquisite. All the foods was absolutely fresh and homemade. We ordered food all night long we wanted to try all the tasty food. The owners obviously take great care in selecting the best quality ingredients and wines. The CHOCOLATE BUDINO is the most delicious dessert ever tasted! The design and atmosphere was very cozy and relaxing for the evening, with nice design and intimate and modern lighting. The acoustics were perfect to hear each other and share the evening together. The owners and staff are lovely and provide a personable touch with help with the menu and pairing of wine options throughout the night. Super wine selection at very reasonable prices. Thank you for a lovely evening, we will be back often!
