Ordered the Capicola, Ham, Salami and it was a phenomenal sandwich put together by some really friendly people. Couldn't ask for a better neighborhood spot!

Beautiful store with great customer service! My boyfriend and I stopped in for a quick bite before hitting the road back to MD and this place did not disappoint. The space is beautiful and the food was fresh. They have an excellent drink selection as well, and the people working were very kind. It was a lovely lunch spot, and I would recommend it to anyone craving a sandwich in Arlington!

They just keep me coming back. As a born and raised northerner this sandwich shop is what I dreamed of. A very creative menu keeps my interests peaked at all times and their specials are truly special. Their rotating soup selection holds its own against the great sandwich selection!

I usually LOVE this place and have been ordering the same breakfast here for months. Today, it was a horrible experience. What set me over the edge was opening my food and seeing this (after waiting 15 mins for it to be made and I was the ONLY other customer in there). Typically, great experiences here and hoping this was a one time occurrence.

My friend and I stopped in here for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. I was first impressed by the fun decor and layout of the shop. I love fresh flowers, so the floral setting really appealed to me. My friend and I both ordered iced coffees, which were great. They offer cream and sugar at a separate drink station, they don't add it directly into the drink for you, which was fine by me. I ordered the southwestern chicken salad which was delicious! It was a large portion filled with quality ingredients. My friend ordered a sandwich and hers looked equally as tasty! I really enjoyed my experience here and would recommend other try it as well! My only constructive criticism would be to increase order preparation time. It felt like we waited a longer time than most shops for a salad and a sandwich. Overall a great experience. Check them out!

Definitely drawn to the aesthetics of this place and how cute they have a flower shop within the space, but thats about it. The display fridge needed to be refilled with their beverages and sides. Ordered several sandwiches and while the ordering process was simple the sandwiches subpar. I was charged $10 for a simple grilled cheese sandwich for my kid. The space is large with plenty of seating and many guests were enjoying their meals while working. Im assuming there was wifi available. I just could not wait to get out of the place. The ventilation of the space was horrific and felt suffocating. There was feeling of burnt air and it was discomforting to breathe in. Take advantage of the outside seating when the weather warms. Will not be coming back though due to the mediocre sandwiches. Better sandwich shops in the area.

Great place for a sandwich or salad, people are friendly and food is delicious. Bonus: Nice outdoor seating when the weather is properly warm.

Our favorite spot in Ballston! Food is honestly a hit and the staff is the kindest I know. Decor is beautiful (flower installation across the ceiling). Great florist / gift section available. Sundays are great for $3 mimosas and an easy-going brunch. Honestly, a plain bagel with cream cheese there is my favorite (they respect the shmear) but I will also jump for the The Reuben, The Capicola, and their baby-arugula salad. Generous portions and delightful fair.

Poppyseed & Rye is pretty, but missing heart. I adore flower shops and was drawn to visit based on the charming aesthetic seen online... it was indeed a pretty place to take my lunch, but still left some to be desired. Food: The toasted veggie panini was flavorful and came with a thick slice of mozzarella and Portabella so I didn't miss the protein at all and it had a great bite to it. The paper the panini came wrapped in was also aesthetically beautiful. The down side was that It was a little bit too oily which made it feel heavy and undermined my choosing a veggie option. Ambiance: The lunch rush still felt stressful and it wasn't the workday oasis I had hoped for. The staff was efficient and professional, but they lacked a personal touch. it felt like an ordinary busy sandwich by shop. Decor alone can't transmit charm and whimsy, you need a culture of hospitality and personal buy in. Floral: Similarly, the florist seemed stressed and busy. I didn't linger at the arrangements nor was I tempted to inquire about a little bouquet ...It gave strictly pre-order vibes. I had hoped to find a few loose stems that one could buy to brighten their desks. Perhaps my expectations were just too high for busy ballston location, but with so much attention to detail and effort to stand out from the ordinary franchise spot or corner deli, it would do them well to consider who they want to be among all the options. I would challenge the proprietors to pay attention to the ethos of the establishment as much as the aesthetic.

The sandwich I got was very average. Based on how it looked and tasted, I'm fairly certain I could make the same sandwich at home with more flavor. To be fair, it wasn't bad but I 100% wouldn't pay for a sandwich like this. Felt like eating a sandwich you smack together when you're so hungry but have time to really make anything, so you literally grab bread and meat

I loved the aesthetic of this restaurant. I was super excited to try it. Ordering was quick and easy and menu is very straightforward. Please see my photo attached. The chicken the way it looks is exactly what it tasted like. Super bland and just not good. The name is southwest chicken salad. You'd think it would be packed full of flavor. Everything in there had absolutely zero flavor and true portion was way too big that I ended up having to waste half of it. I'd come back maybe to try and sandwich but the salad which should've been so simple was so bland it was shocking.
