This is our favorite Thai restaurant in N. Arlington. There is nothing that we have tried that we did not like. Delivery is easy and the food always arrives warm. Our favorites: Gai Klur Fried rice with small morsels of fried chicken, Chicken with Basil, Eggplant with beef in Black Bean sauce, Drunken Noodles with pork, Pad Si Ew with chicken, Panang Curry,

The highlight of this place was the friendly service. Very kind, happy staff. Was happy to see they had a vegetarian menu. We tried the panang curry and the drunken noodles. The panang curry was delicious and the noodles needed a little more salt and flavor.

I have been to lovely Thailand, and can say with confidence that this is the closest cuisine facsimile as can be found outside of the beautiful kingdom. The duck Curry is sublime, there is singha beer on tap. Well done. Kap kuhn ma krup! ( If you enjoy short and sweet cooking and travel videos please visit cuisineQuest on YouTube!)

Continue to love this place. The food and service are consistently good. As mentioned before, the atmosphere is comfortable and good for hanging out with friends or taking someone on a date. Lighting is good, and there's parking ~150 yards away. This time I've tried the sesame green beans (delicious) as an appetizer. For dinner I had the Kai klur fried rice, my wife her favorite (angel eggplant), and son the panang curry.

Probably one of the best drunken noodle I've tasted a long time and the presentation is cute. Great portion size and the place is huge enough to accommodate large parties. Not a fan of the Thai Tea. Extremely sugary compared to other places I've tried but if you like that rush go for it. Service was consistent.

We’ve gone a times in the last week. Everything has been great. Service. Food. Service. I’ve tried to get something different each time to share my experience. The interior is a bit eclectic but still very warm, comfortable, clean, and enjoyable. The last two days I tried several appetizers and main dishes. All great. The summer rolls, Kao klook, and chicken curry puffs are all fantastic. The moo yang, mango chicken, and angel chicken are all so delicious.Just found this place and so glad I did. There aren’t many parking options but overall not too bad. Food is delicious and service is excellent. The atmosphere is very relaxing, comfortable, and yet classy. My wife and I went here after watching a movie and happy to try it. The summer rolls were perfect and had a very good sauce. My wife had the Chinese broccoli with crispy pork belly, and I had the Angel eggplant (oh my gosh so good). This place is a keeper.

We ordered the spring rolls, red and green curries and the soups, and loved all of them! The staff is super courteous and friendly. No complaints, highly recommend!

A very mediocre experience, both food and service wise. I love angel eggplant and was really underwhelmed here; there were only two pieces of eggplant and they were not quite crispy or salted enough. The pad see ew also just did not have the right flavor profile or texture. The service was not great--it seemed like we were inconveniencing the staff when we asked for a table, even though it was around 6pm on a weekday. One redeeming thing: the custard dessert. So tasty!

My recent dining experience at Sawatdee Thai Restaurant left me with impressions that navigated through the realms of average culinary offerings, olfactory discomfort, and concerns about cleanliness. Nestled in a neighborhood that beckons patrons with the promise of authentic Thai cuisine, Sawatdee Thai Restaurant presented a dining journey that had both its merits and drawbacks.Commencing with the culinary aspect, the food at Sawatdee Thai Restaurant, while not extraordinary, fell into the category of averageness. The menu showcased a variety of Thai dishes, each offering a familiar yet not particularly standout taste. The flavors, while decent, did not carry the depth and boldness that one might associate with exceptional Thai cuisine. The lack of a distinctive flavor profile left the overall culinary experience hovering in the realm of the ordinary.A less savory aspect of the visit was the interior ambiance. The restaurant, regrettably, suffered from an undesirable odor that lingered throughout the dining space. The unpleasant smell, whether related to the kitchen or other factors, detracted significantly from the dining experience. A restaurant's atmosphere is a crucial component of the overall journey, and the pervasive smell in this instance impacted the comfort and enjoyment of the patrons. On a related note, concerns about cleanliness extended to the restroom facilities. A clean and well-maintained restroom is integral to the satisfaction of diners, and unfortunately, the state of the toilets at Sawatdee Thai Restaurant left much to be desired. This aspect significantly dampened the overall impression of the venue and raised questions about the establishment's commitment to hygiene. In terms of service, the staff at Sawatdee Thai Restaurant were courteous and attentive, providing a silver lining to the dining experience. The positive interactions with the staff contributed to a more favorable impression despite the drawbacks in other areas. In conclusion, Sawatdee Thai Restaurant, while offering a menu of average Thai cuisine, faced challenges in maintaining a pleasant interior ambiance and ensuring cleanliness standards. Addressing these concerns would be instrumental in elevating the overall dining experience for patrons seeking an authentic and satisfying Thai culinary adventure.

Although my partner and I ordered for takeout, the ambiance of the restaurant is so cute!! We'll definitely be back to dine in. There also seemed to be plenty of space both indoors and outdoors. A cute location in general. I am a curry gal (often because they are one of the only GF menu items) - and their curry was delicious (they also clarified it was gluten free)!! I also loved the amount of chicken they gave. My partner got the duck and pad thai, and enjoyed both. Nothing else to really say besides we enjoyed the food and will be back!

Really wanted to visit the Soloman's Island location but due to traffic drove to the VA location. After the research and reviews I was deeply disappointed.Ordered calamari which was extremely chewy and soaked in grease (pictured). Ordered the Tom-Yum Seafood soup and it did not taste fresh at all very pungent seafood order that I know is not associated with Thai soups. The Pad-Ga-Pow was decent but the chewiness of the beef again was a turn off. Lastly, the seafood fried rice was flavorless and not appetizing at all.On top of the gas this was a pricey dinner all for us to default to a pizza. Definitely, not recommended and would not return!

Came here with friends. Good enough to satisfy the craving, but not the best Thai food. Flavorful pad Thai, summer rolls were a bit disappointing. Was extra sad that it didn't come with the regular peanut sauce summer rolls usually come with. And Thai tea was far too sweet. Extremely convenient location.
