I love this place. I will forget about it for a few weeks and then visit and remember how much I love it. The food is excellent, the drinks are good (Michelada is my go-to), and I've always had great service. My favorites- puffy blue chips with queso, Key West fish taco, fried Avocado taco, and the Puffy beef taco. All delicious though, can't go wrong.

Upon my first visit to Taco Rock, home of the Blue Corn Tortilla, I was immediately struck by the fast-paced and busy yet inviting atmosphere. The music, seating area, and bar with TVs created a nice vibe that added to the overall experience. This place offers a wide variety of Traditional Mexican street tacos and classic Tex Mex street food.During my visit, I had the opportunity to sample a range of dishes including land and sea, macha shrimp, carne asada, shake down shrimp, rockfish, rice, and beans. Each dish was not only delicious but also came in generous portion sizes. I was impressed by the daily specials offered at the restaurant. One of the highlights of my visit was the drinks, which were expertly crafted and quite strong. The bartenders were amazing and contributed to the lively atmosphere of the place. I appreciated the unique system in which you go to a machine to purchase your own tacos and receive a buzzer to pick them up.Overall, I had a fantastic experience at Taco Rock and will definitely be returning in the future. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for delicious Mexican street food and great drinks.

Only negative here is no parking, but not the restaurant's fault.

My office ordered 7 meals for lunch today. I approached and spoke with Fernando to ask who I should see about my order. He was Extremely Rude and Dissmissive! Had the order not been paid for, I would have left. The rude service definitely overshadowed the food!I've called twice to speak with a manager. The first time I was told no manager was on duty and to call after 4pm. I called back after 7pm and now I'm told no manager is on duty and to call in the morning. Great runaround!

Went for the first time for Happy Hour. I think their Happy Hour prices are very good. I had a margarita, green tea shot, nachos, Street Corn, Elote, and al pastor tacos. Food was A+++. I would go back for the food and drink for sure!I think the confusion started when I first entered the restaurant. I didn’t know if it was wait to be seated or seat yourself. I took it upon myself to seat myself, and realized you order yourself and don’t wait for a server. I’m not sure I saw directional signage like “Order Here” or “Pick Up Here” that would help with any future confusion as to what to expect from the restaurant.Overall a great experience and I do recommend to try it!

I love this place. But I’m specifically leaving this review for Meghan that’s works at the Arlington location. I was having trouble reaching the Alexandria location about a catering order and she took the time to contact them personally for me. Thank you so much Meghan!!!!

Everyone here was very friendly! I removed one star from service because they don't have any plates, which is not the staff's fault. This makes it hard for sharing tacos and nachos. Perhaps giving everyone their own small metal tray would be a good solution? The food was good, especially the lobster taco special and spicy elote! I removed one star because the fried oysters in my fried oyster taco tasted old/frozen.The atmosphere is very fun and lively. Overall a very worthy place for dinner in Rosslyn.

recently ordered takeout from Taco Rock, and I must say, it was a delightful experience from start to finish. The moment I stepped into the restaurant, I was greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere, coupled with the enticing aroma of freshly prepared tacos. The menu offered a wide variety of options, ranging from traditional favorites to unique and innovative creations. After much contemplation, I decided to go for the Birrira tacos and chicken tacos. Both dishes exceeded my expectations in terms of flavor and freshness.

Best tacos in Rosslyn by far. And yes, there is a couple of other places. The birria here is the really good item. But plenty of other good choices here. Chorizo is a competent staple, and the asado is great. But ya, the birria is the must try dish. Service OK, beer selection OK.

I’ve been here a few times but today was the best. I came in and sat at the bar. The bartender was Ceasar. This guy is amazing. He was courteous, kind, attentive and well aware of the menu. He made me feel welcome and represented the brand well. He recommended the puppy blue chips. It was the best. I love this restaurant because this is the only place in the dmv where you can find fries taco shells for your tacos. I’ll definitely be back here again. Don’t wait, come here and ask for Ceasar at the bar. Thank you Ceasar and Taco Rock.

While staying in DC, this was some of the best food I had.My daughter and I were having trouble finding tacos with ground beef instead of shredded. I know shredded is "traditional" but that is irrelevant to me. Looked around on the internet and stumbled upon this gem. I got several traditional tacos and my daughter got a cheese quesadilla. The tacos were delicious, just the right amount of spice but not too overwhelming. Their fountain drinks (Stubb's) are insanely delicious.(As a side note, make sure you test the spiciness of the sauces before you jump right in. My daughter was knocked on her butt because she wasn't prepared)As for service, they were wonderful. They helped this illiterate man (me) navigate the computer menu ?After we sat down, they brought my wallet over to me which I had left on the counter, totally saving our trip. The only thing I might critique is the atmosphere. It's pretty loud (but hey, it's called Taco rock, what do you expect ??)The excessive volume was also likely due to the 20-plus people screaming and see me to have what looked like a family reunion. But I would definitely advise you to eat here. It was one of the places I wish we had gone to multiple times when we were in DC. With so many places to choose from, don't miss out.

I've eaten here many many times over the years. I usually get the Rock n Bowl with Chicken. More than enough for me to fill me up! The food is good, the service is great, and atmosphere is nice. I recommend it if you're looking for a solid lunch spot for your work or when you're visiting. It's all reasonably priced. Maybe, I'll take an actual taco next time.
