Farewell my favorite fast casual restaurant in Northern VA. I hope you will one day open your doors again in a different location (but not too far away!)

Build-your-own Thai bowl - fresh food, solid portion, and a great price.

Food is incredible. Taste great the next day as leftovers too!

So, I have an opposite opinion here, I think the people were actually pretty nice, but the food was absolutely awful. The flavors didn't mix at all (tons of pickled things and high pitched sweet with a tiny bit of savory.. I've had warmer green salads). To make matters worse, I cant have egg, but I got half a fist worth of cross contamination.

Doesn't look like much from the street view, and even inside it's very minimal. The menu is like a "pick your base, then protein" kind of deal. The menu is small though so be aware of that. I got all vegetables in my bowl, it was flavorful. But maybe not worth the almost $9 ‍ IF YOURE IN THE AREA GIVE IT A TRY!! The flavors are to die for

This is usually my go to place for lunch since I work in the Rosslyn area. This place is always super crowded during the lunch rush hours. I'd advise going a bit early or later if you want to avoid the lunch rush. This place is like a chipotle version for Thai food. I'd highly recommended this place for a quick asian meal!

Worst place I have been to in DC. My brother recommended I try this place as he really enjoyed it. I walked in, and the guy working behind the counter was sitting at the table on his phone. Out of curiosity, I decided to stand at the counter ready to order and wait to see how long it would be before he noticed me. After 10 minutes passed and he had yet to look up from his phone, I decided to take my business elsewhere. Food smelled good, but the staff was horrible.

Food is good, but need a bit of work on customer service. Cashier always seems to have an attitude. The food is why I give it four stars.

Horrible customer service from the woman who said she was the manager (1.17.20 at 5:14 pm). First time to this place. I was coming from work. The place was completely empty m when I surveyed the counter, the worker was on her cell phone with her plastic gloves on. I greeted her and proceeded to figure out how to order. I asked her to change her gloves since she was using her cell phone. She seemed to get an attitude and stated that it was for the ginger. (I still don't understand what that means). I asked if that was ok that I asked her to change the gloves. She responded by ignoring my question. Because I was unfamiliar with the process, I asked questions along the way. I didn't know what done if the items were. She wasn't interested in explaining it. She did, however, ask if I wanted to add vegetables. But if I asked her to repeat something because I didn't understand. She huffed about it. I said ma'am, am I annoying you? I'm having a hard time understanding what you're saying. She made another snide remark under her breath. I asked to speak with the manager and also asked this worker for her name. The worker stated that she was the manager, and refused to tell me her name. I then asked for the owner or at least the owner's name because I was going to speak with the owner about his/her employee's poor customer service. She stated she is not permitted to give me the owner's name. I let her know that I would be writing a review. I recommend avoiding this place if this is the type of service they give. As a new customer who was trying something new, I was totally turned off. While standing outside the establishment writing this review, I asked a person approaching the location if she had been here before. She had not. I shared my experience, and she said that she would not be going there. Maybe this place is better during lunch or with another worker. This lady, however, is to be avoided. No name tag and no interest in serving the customer. She was quite interested in being on her cell phone, however, with her gloves that she wanted to keep on while fixing my bowl. Unacceptable service, and bad food management in terms of wearing and changing her protective gear (ie gloves) after they've been by touching her cell phone charging under the desk.

When I first moved to DC late at night, this was my first meal in the area. I was pleasantly surprised with how cute the interior was and how great the location is on the main road. There seemed to be people there late at night, which was a good sign. If you're looking for a good chuckle, visit the bathroom and study the funky elephant wallpaper. :) However, I've been here many times now and I must that the food is inexpensive but mediocre. I am totally supportive of the concept - a "Chipotle style" Thai eatery with toppings and sauces, but it doesn't necessarily translate well in practicality. The rice noodles start to stick together after sitting out at the counter, but if you put oil it gets too oily and if you put water it get soggy. The toppings are okay but could be improved - like the green onion isn't necessarily crispy and the egg is often overcooked. At the final stage, the sauce choices are all mediocre since the spicy options aren't truly spicy, some of the sauces consistently taste diluted, and the flavors don't quite hit the spot. Although this isn't my favorite spot, I seem to revisit it time after time to give it another shot. However, I always end up going home after a dinner there with a soggy bowl of leftovers, unsatisfied.

A decent place for a quick bite. The staff seemed in a rush and almost pushy trying to get me to decide what I wanted in my bowl. Then I simply asked the guy, “Do you have basil?” And he throws in some cilantro and passes the bowl down the line. I was thinking, ummm I guess that means no, and glad I actually like cilantro. But cilantro and basil are not even close to the same flavor.

So SO good, and the people there are so nice. I am a high schooler at HB Woodlawn, the new school in the Rosslyn area, and a friend and I were looking for some budget oriental cuisine, and we were blown away by the fair price and fantastic flavor that Tom Yum District has to offer. It's fast and cost effective, and I recommend this to anyone who wants their Thai Fix in a hurry. Fantastic and casual, and I plan on coming weekly :)

Good deal for the area. Really like the special Thai dishes they've been doing recently.

We walked in and the place was empty. The one girl was so unfriendly and miserable we just left. Not sure what to say except we walked over to Pho 75 and it’s great. Lots of people and good service.
