Not the real Village Inn known for their great pies and delicious breakfasts. Don't know how they get away stealing the name. But was disappointed

It's Friday night and just left ashburn village inn with no food after waiting over 90 minutes. Our server was extremely courteous and even offered to comp our entire meal but even then we waited a bit longer for our food it just never came so we just left and went next doors to Chau's cafe because we were so hungry. Extremely disappointed after seeing multiple people get seated after receiving their meals and even leaving with satisfied bellies while we only got water. We have been frequenting this place for many years and love their food when it does come out but this was an unacceptable experience.

We are relocating our business to the Ashbrook Commons Plaza and found several restaurants in the immediate area and decided on Ashburn Village Inn to try first. Food was excellant! Not what we were expecting for a pub/ restaurant. Prices were very good and the service was quick and helpful. We gave everything a '10' except one item and will become a regular. Our '10's' were the chili, New York pastrami, pork bbq, and chicken salad. All excellent.

Not sure why, but I always try and give this place "another chance" to earn my money, and they never fail to disappoint. We were looking for a spot to accommodate 8 for brunch/lunch today. Normally we would hit the Ashburn Pub (because the best bartender in N. Va works there on Sundays) but today it was super crowded because of the soccer match. So we tossed out some alternatives (Blue Ridge Grill and Ashburn Village Inn were immediate options because of location). One in our party said "are you sure about AVI? The last time we went the service was awful because they have two people on at a time." I decided to go see for myself. Walked in and noticed the bartender (counted 8 people at the bar and bar tables), and one server (10 top seated, 5 top leaving, and a few other tables) that was busy, but not in the weeds. After close to 10 mins the bartender saunters over, with an obvious attitude, and asks if she can help me (definitely caught several eye rolls...I have three daughters, I know what they look like). I say that I am checking to see if they can accommodate a party of 8 and she huffed, puffed, acted like I was annoying her simply by asking and she says "well we only have THAT table and you can see people are sitting there...so they would have to leave." I passively point to a few open four tops, which evidently pissed her off even more, because she hit me with more huffing and puffing and then the "I guess I'll ask the server." I completely understand how difficult it is to run a place when it's understaffed. Many a loved one of mine works in the industry...I get it. What is not appreciated is the attitude...making people that are there to spend money in your establishment, feel like they are bothering you by choosing your place! A simple "sir, we are very understaffed today and I'm afraid we might not meet our service expectations" would go a long way. Pretty sure this bartender works at another place in Ashburn, where I've notice a similar attitude, so I guess I shouldn't have been surprised. But I will never attempt to patronize this spot again, and I will spread the word to my tribe as well.

We came for brunch. Great selection. Food was perfect. Waitress was attentive. Food was delivered quickly. Lots of tv screens everywhere. Sports flags and the American Flag hanging from the ceiling.

I’ve tried coming here a couple times, and I’m surprised more people haven’t experienced what I have. The wait times between ordering your food and receiving it are ridiculously long, like 45-50 minutes long for a breakfast sandwich.Today, our waitress never told us her name nor do I believe she said more than 2 words to us the whole hour + we were there. We never got checked on, our order wasn’t even placed (by her) properly so our food was wrong but we didn’t want to wait another 20 minutes for her to come around again to try to correct it. The food is good which is why we keep trying, but I think your time is better spent elsewhere.

Very cool casual sports bar with lots of TV’s. We went early on a Saturday evening and had good service. The burger and kids hot dog was good but the fries may be their specialty. Beer selection was decent, would definitely go back.

Poor service on Sunday for brunch. There was a 20 person table that got all the attention, plus another 20 person table coming that they we're literally turning people away, but had no set up to let people know. Left after 30 minutes without even being asked for drinks.

Excellent golden beet salad! Plenty of tv's to watch sporting events. Their dessert menu looked fabulous- next time!

I got the shrimp and grits. It was cooked well, and looked great, just wasn’t well seasoned. Same thing with the shrimp Alfredo that my son got. Simply adding salt and pepper made these dishes much tastier. I don’t usually have to season food at the table. It’s a typical loud sports bar atmosphere and the music was not to my tastes. But others seemed to enjoy it and they were busy. I think they need to hire more staff, we were served promptly but the server had a lot of people to take care of.

Have been coming here since they opened. The food is always fantastic. Today was no exception. I have watched the prices climb steadily. Today's bacon cheeseburger, while very good, was $15.49. I asked for a side of mayo, and was charged an additional 50 cents! That is tacky. As if the $15.49 wasn't already enough.

Food was good ... service was a little slow.... Good place to go if you are not in a hurry ...
