Perfect little brew pub. We were staying at the Getaway and wanted a casual night out. Beer was delicious, cocktail (Eye on the Fire) perfect, good atmosphere, great service.

Excellent service, beer menu, cocktails and limited but tasty food selection in a cozy setting.

During our visit to our son at JMU, traveling with our three adorable Cockapoos, we relied on the Bring Fido app to find a pet-friendly spot. The recommendation led us to an incredible place that was perfect for our family of 7, both human and furry members alike. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate us, the beer selection was perfect, and the food was incredible. The delightful setting was an added bonus to our memorable experience.

My husband is the beer drinker, I am not. We came here while visiting the area for a drink, and quick bite. as a party of 7+ a baby, it was a little cramped, and seating was pretty limited. However, we were able to find a table and make do. service was excellent, our waitress was very attentive and checked on us regularly. My husband enjoyed his beer, sister, got a local cider, and I ordered a Moscow Mule with a splash of cranberry. Drinks were delicious. We also ordered some food for ourselves and the kids. I highly recommend the Italian sandwich that comes with a bag of chips. The pretzel was massive. I loved the beer cheese. My husband really enjoyed the mustard. Also ordered a cheese pizza for the kids, and one of the specialty pizzas for the adults. The pizza was OK. The flavors on top of the bread were great, but he tasted more bread than toppings. personally, I would stick to a sandwich or appetizer.

We tried the Hot Honey Meatlovers, the 540, and the Hawaiian gf pizzas. They were all delicious! Loved the Snow Miser, also. Great atmosphere and friendly staff!

We loved our visit at Pale Fire! We ordered the gluten free crust and loved it. I have celiac and they accommodated my needs easily! My family liked the beers, and they had good gluten free drink options as well. We will be back often!

Great service, beer and food. Their Detroit style pizza was fantastic.

Delicious new option for Basye - with yummy beer, pizza and subs. We got the Hot Honey pizza and Chicken Parmesan sub - so good! Detroit style pizza and a nice focaccia style sub with the best Route 11 Chips! A yummy Venice Queen IPA for me and started with the pretzel - which comes with a delicious cheese dip. Highly recommend a stop in and can’t wait for the spring when they can open up their patio!

We had a few of their beers. The Red Molly was delicious. We also had the hot honey pizza and it was also very good. As an FYI their pizza is Detroit style so you know what you're getting into.Service was great. Highly recommend stopping by.

Well done! Beer and pizza was good! It was a Saturday evening and quite warm. Crowded venue but we were able to eat outside at a picnic table which was fine!

We stopped here on a Sunday afternoon while staying in town with friends. It's a relatively small spot, but they had a consistent influx of customers and the kitchen was fast and efficient. I really enjoyed the meatball sandwich that was essentially on garlic bread (which was amazing). The Detroit style pizzas were good, but the dough was much more similar to a Grandma slice or focaccia bread. It was light and enjoyable, just not quite Detroit style IMO. I tried two different ales and both were solid.

Great beer (red ale and IPA) and food. Pretzels and spinach dip. Will be back. Great add to local scene.
