Great little small place out of the way. Good people, good service, amazing onion rings. Try the port barbecue.

Sooo clean , excellent servers. Prices aren't bad either. They have the best desserts and all home made. You can also eat on their really nice porch.Parking: Lots of room in front as wl as the side.

What a wonderful spot. The food is just like eating at Grandma’s. Everything I have tried here is excellent; breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The desserts are great too - so save some room.

Beautiful little place. Friendly people. Highly recommend. Actually was nice to hear locals talking about life instead of politics. Reminded me of home.

This was a lovely home cooked, family-oriented kind of restaurant. Met up with a friend and the staff was so kind & accommodating. We really enjoyed it.

Old fashioned hearty comfort food cooking. Much like delicious Southern cooking in the 1950s. Very good! Portions are large; for example, breakfast is an all-day breakfast! Their recent re-opening enabled their refocus on a basic, down-to-earth, but still very good, all American menu. Portions are still generous. The location is very pleasant, up on the mountain in Pine Grove village, along old Rt. 7 (the two-lane road traveled between Alexandria and Winchester before construction of the modern four-lane). Family friendly. Service was attentive and responsive. Pricing easily affordable, low to medium. There is plenty of parking right out front. Recommended!

Catherine and I just visited the reopened Pine Grove restaurant. Service was very good, food and value excellent. Everyone was friendly. Great to see the old staff including the owner. Will definitely be a repeat customer.

First time eating there. I had liver and onions, wife had meatloaf. We both enjoyed our dinners. And servings were good size.

It's like stepping into your grandma's kitchen! Large portions, small price, delicious.Locally sourced, wholesome country food.Everything is cooked fresh from scratch, made to order. They just renovated with new booths, tables, floors and other upgrades, with the same charm as always. Give it a try, you'll become a regular - Breakfast all day =)

I really liked the place the service was great and the food was good the Only problem was that they were out of eggs but I could look past it because everything else was spot on

This was a nice homey spot to come right after a long hike. When you walk in, it feels like you're walking into a country living room. I'm the atmosphere was very chilly and I probably could have taken a nap if it was appropriate. I got the grilled cheese and the apple pie. Both were safe options. I think my only critique for this place is that the menu didn't have a lot of options so I only really went with the grilled cheese because it seemed to be the only option for me and it didn't even come with an option for its normal companion of tomato soup. Maybe a piece of advice for the Chef would be to consider livening up the menu a tad or at least offer tomato soup with your grilled cheese.
